CSUF ABSN Fall 2020

Hello! I wanted to create a thread for those interested in/planning on applying to the CSUF ABSN Fall 2020 cohort. Applications open up in a couple of days! I just wanted to know how everyone is feeling about themselves and create a place where we can talk about the process.

Don't believe there's already a thread created, but if there is, please link the thread haha

Yes! Thank you! I was happy somebody else asked it in the meeting today. I didn’t know that ABSN, LVN-RN, and traditional students were all lumped together for a total of 40. It will be nice to take classes with other programs!

I was wondering if someone from the alternate list was already called ?

Hi everyone!

I actually applied for the traditional BSN program with CSUF, but can't find a message board anywhere for it so decided to join in on this conversation ?

I was placed on the alternate list initially. About a week ago, I was offered conditional admission to the program. I saw above that someone said we're all lumped together and will be taking the same classes so I'm excited to meet everyone!

I am new to this thread. I applied for CSUF nursing program but I am still an alternate. Has anybody from the alternate list been accepted during May?

You think it would be okay to ask the advisor how far down on the waitlist I am?? I know they can’t give a number since it fluctuates a lot. Also, are we allowed to do the CR/NC option instead of a grade for classes that are required or related to the program?

Nope, I already accepted that nobody is declining their spot. I just want to know where do I fall on the waitlist.

I recently ended up declining my spot with CSU Fullerton and went with Fresno State’s program so don’t give up hope! Best of luck!

I also ended up declining my spot as well! Keep at it! They are going to be adding people till the end June. Good luck!

I just received an acceptance letter this morning! God is good! Thanks for your encouraging words❤️
