CSUF ABSN 2018 applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I just submitted my application to the CSUF ABSN program. I wanted to start a thread for anyone else who has also applied. Based on past years threads for this program, they invite people for interviews in February. Curious to see how many points everyone applied with. Best of luck!

Oh wow, that would mean a max of 42 or so interviews. In previous years it's been closer to 70. That makes me feel better about being an interview alternate. And congrats to those with interviews, you have a 50% chance of getting in it would seem!

Also, would you mind sharing the days/times available to interview? I want to make sure I keep those days free in case I'm pulled from the waitlist. Staying hopeful :nailbiting:

March 19th 8:30am-12:30pm & 2:00pm-5:00pm. March 20th 8:00am-10:30am. Good luck to everyone.

I assume I am around 80. This year they are interviewing everyone who scored above 70, it used to be 65 .

awesome thank you for the updated info!

Hi everyone! I will be interviewing with group 2.

I'm in the afternoon interview on March 19th. Anyone else? Do they ask the basic questions, like why do you want to be a nurse..etc...Any one know someone in the program currently?

I just received a reminder email regarding the interviews next week. There are 13 of us in group #1 on Monday morning. Best of luck to everyone! The wait is almost over :)

Hi everybody! My application was 80 points. I do have a science prerequisite in progress but A's in the other 3 sciences. and I am part of group 2 for interviews on 3/19/18. It sounds like There are 8-12 people in each group over the course of 3 hours which leaves about 15-20 minutes to interview each applicant. I am curious about the questions they are going to ask! If any previous applicants read this please provide any insight.

Jellis2020 congrats on getting an interview! So far I know group #1 has 13 candidates and group #3 has 8. Since you are in group #2 do you mind sharing the number of candidates?
