Anyone on the edge of your seat waiting for these letters to come ??? This was the only university I applied to so I'm startling to get anxious !!! ?
This is insane lol Good luck !
It is! I just looked through some past threads from previous years' fall admission and noticed that the nursing dept. usually had an answer by the middle-end of April. I know they probably got a ton of applications but they get a lot every year. Unless this year there was just so many more? It is a little frustrating, for sure.
And thank you! Good luck to you and everyone else who applied!
Thank you! I applied to Sac because the two year program is pretty appealing. However, I would need to max out my student loans to attend and am not sure if I am comfortable with that, given the job market for new nurses.
Getting in to East Bay would work out much better for me, financially speaking. I live on the Peninsula (Redwood City), so I would have to commute a ways but I am used to commuting so I don't think it would be too horrible. Of course, this could be a moot point if I get rejected, but I am hoping for the best. I already got denied admission to the SFSU program, though that was sort of expected.
I hear you about the email thing. I have been checking it constantly for like the past month and every time I see a new email in my inbox I get my hopes up, but alas, nothing. Boo. lol.
Countdown time for us!
Hey, I'm in San Carlos! We're neighbors! The commute to East Bay is actually my favorite, since traffic is always traveling in the opposite direction.
(Don't mind me. I'm just obsessively refreshing my e-mail and these allnurses.com forum pages hoping that there's some news... somewhere. Anywhere?)

Indeed we are! And you are totally right about the reverse commute. That's a definite plus!
I've been busy reading this and other threads and it seems like you and I have similar stats (mine= 94% on Teas/3.9 pre-req/4.0 science/ no supplementals). The last part makes me nervous, like it's my Achilles' heel/kiss of death.
At least this torture/waiting game will be over soon, that's what I keep telling myself!

How did you get denied at sf with that good of a gpa and teas score?

4.0 in science! Good lord, I don't know how you did it! O-chem killed me in ways that I didn't know I could be killed. (And the A- made me want to cry, lol.)
Yeah, not having any supplementals has been a huge worry for me. I actually do have a year of paid healthcare under my belt, but I wasn't able to track down my old boss, and everything I came up with online made it seem as though he was no longer practicing, so that really irked me, but it is what it is!
If we haven't heard anything by Friday, I don't know what I'll do with myself.

The rejection email I got was pretty generic, stating something like: "selected applicants had higher gpas, teas scores, and more healthcare experience", so I'm guesting that the lack of healthcare experience really did me in. I do have my CNA certification, however I do not have paid experience being one, so that didn't help either.
