Anyone on the edge of your seat waiting for these letters to come ??? This was the only university I applied to so I'm startling to get anxious !!! ?
Still waiting here, too. I just got my appointment to select classes for the summer and fall quarters, but since I don't know if I'll be in the program or not, I'm hesitant to even start looking.
Does anyone know if we have a strict schedule of classes we have to adhere to once we're in the program, or is it like choosing regular classes, where you can just pick them willy-nilly and/or pack your schedule as full as possible? I came in as a transfer student, so I've never really had any roadmap or set of classes that I was sure I needed to take for pre-nursing, so I've just been bumping around for the last several quarters, and somehow managed to get it all correct.
As for my stats, I'm scared, since I had ZERO supplementals, but my gpa was 3.9-ish and I got a 94.5 on the TEAS. The end of this month is turning out to be a real nailbiter, since CSUEB is the only school I applied to, so all my proverbial eggs are in one basket.
Fingers crossed we hear something this week!

With those stats you should be fine with getting admitted, I wouldn't even worry about it.
You do have a strict schedule and you will all sign up for classes at the same time, after (or at?) orientation. There is some degree of choice/flexibility to the schedule, but for the most part it is made for you. There's no worries about the class spaces filling up because they are reserved for you. You can sign up for GE classes though, if you need to take any (everyone has to take 12 units of upper division GE, for example, and the first quarter of the program is an excellent time to take a GE class because your schedule will be super relaxed compared to the rest of the program). However a couple of the nursing requirements also fulfill some upper division GE requirements so I'd talk to someone from the nursing dept before signing up for any GEs. But I wouldn't wait on that if I were you because upper division GEs tend to fill up quick and it's not something you want to put off til a busier quarter. A lot of people are like "I don't want to overload myself the first quarter, I just want to give 100% attention to nursing!" and they don't take a GE class, but that's a mistake, because you will be busier every quarter as the program progresses. The first quarter is like a cake walk. But maybe your upper division GEs are already completed and you don't even need to think about this at all!
Good luck!
Thanks for the reply, jenna! I have some of my upper division GE req's done already, but I'm in the process of getting some others out of the way now, as well as some lower division classes that I had no idea I even needed until recently. I'll also be getting as many as I can out of the way over the summer quarter, so that if I get into the program, I won't have to take much, if anything, outside of nursing classes.
I don't need any other school-related stresses beyond whatever nursing puts on my plate, so the more I can do now, the better.
If you don't mind me asking, how many units of strictly nursing-related classes do students take per quarter? I have to say, after 2 quarters of taking strictly online classes, I'm kind of dreading going back to a regular, early morning-type, on campus class schedule this summer!

Here's the roadmap for the nursing program (Hayward campus - Concord campus has an extra summer session so they finish a quarter early) - you'd start in "first year nursing" and there are also upper division GEs and the code class requirements thrown into the roadmap as when students normally take them. It's normally like 10-12 units of nursing classes, but it's kind of a moot point because units aren't a good representation of time spent when it comes to nursing. I've taken 22-unit loads of non-nursing classes and had way more free time than 10 units of nursing.
For all of us who thought we'd be hearing back from CSUEB by now, I just read this on the website:"All offers of conditional admission to the nursing program AND notices of placement on the Wait List are sent via email by Spring Term (last week of May)."
LAST WEEK OF MAY. **faints**
Aww man ... So the wait continues I was getting worried !

Wow still waiting for the admittance letter. Did anybody received their letter yet?
