CSUB Nursing Program for Fall 2014

Published

Hello, I'm making this thread for everyone thinking of applying and applying to CSUB's nursing program for the Fall 2014! This is the month for transfers (like me) to submit the CSU Mentor app. The nursing app is already posted on the college's website!

Any nursing hopefuls for fall 2014?

Oh man! So then when they are accepting people we'll just have to wait until they call us? How scary! No the only one I went to was in November or December and it was cancelled when I showed up! :/ So I don't know anything about it either.

And thank you! I am glad to be done with Micro are you done with your pre reqs?

From what I've read on past threads, people who are on the waitlist receive an email stating that they've been chosen as an alternate. When they get selected from the alternate list, they receive an e-mail stating that they've been accepted.

Awww that sucks! I wonder if anyone else on this thread knows if they will be sending out tentative standings. It would be extremely helpful if they did though.

Yes, I finished all my prerequisites and general ed's in December so for the past 5 months, I've been just working and waiting to see where I end up! :)

Yes i read previous blogs also and the first round of acceptance is in the first week of July, then depending of who accepts/rejects the spots, the second round follows...or atleast that's what I understood from other posts. So basically, we'll find out no matter what, by late July of our acceptance.

Fingers crossed, hoping we all get in!! :D This is my number one choice...Eeek!

I applied for fall 2014, just waiting as well! It's driving me nuts!

Welcome! :)

It's probably driving everyone nuts (if it's their first choice). Are you a transfer student or do you attend CSUB?

I'm a transfer student, if I don't get accepted I think I'll still attend csub and look into that BA in human biology that they have. Perhaps get my bachelors and go to PA school..I'm a pessimist so I'm already planning for the worse lol

how about you, are you a transfer student or csub student ?

Lol. I totally get you on that. Sometimes it's good to not have expectations; that way you don't end up dissappointed. haha.

Transfer student!

Is this the only program you applied to?

Yup you're right!

It's the only csu that I applied to, but I applied to a couple of the cc programs. A lot of them seem to be lottery so I'm really hoping csub takes me! All we can do now is wait lol.

Lotteries can be really tricky... you either get in or you don't; it's like competition doesn't matter much at that point...

Well if you have good grades and did well on the TEAS, seems like you might have a good chance at getting in! :)

I also applied to CSULB, California State University, Chico, and Los Angeles County. CSULB didn't take me in cause the chemistry course that I took at my CC is not in their agreement and I got waitlisted at CSU Chico. Still waiting to hear from Los Angeles County and CSUB.

How many points do you guys have out of the possible total of 105?

I think mine is 65.5 if I calculate the units with the ones they have posted online. At my school micro was 5 semester units but online it says 3 semester units. So my gpa is lowered because of that.

I hope that is enough!!! I really want to go to csub. Is that where you want to go?

I thought you had to convert the semester units to quarter units... ?

I think you're right. I just redid it with the quarter units and it's the same. -_- I hope it's enough points how many do you estimate you have?
