CSUB Nursing Program for Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello, I'm making this thread for everyone thinking of applying and applying to CSUB's nursing program for the Fall 2014! This is the month for transfers (like me) to submit the CSU Mentor app. The nursing app is already posted on the college's website!

Any nursing hopefuls for fall 2014?

Thanks! 86 is pretty darn good for studying last minute! I know some people who failed it the first time because they wanted to 'see' how the test was going to be like.

I'm all done with my prereqs and just taking elective this semester. CSUB is pretty much my top school--I would have to move--but they just notify so late compared to the CCs that I applied to (and the CCs are so much closer to where I live). Is CSUB your first choice?

What? Haha that's weird. I hadn't heard of anyone doing that before.

Thank you! Honestly, I wish I would've had more time study. I hate leaving things like that last minute so I was a nervous wreck the day before the exam. So happy it's over.

OMG! You read my mind about CSUB sending out notifications so late... I also would have to move (from Los Angeles) and it leaves so little time to look for somewhere to live and get all the paperwork together to meet the deadlines, etc... I wish they sent notifications out at least in June (at the minimum) to give everyone more time.. From what I've read in previous CSUB threads, they send out tentative standings towards the end of May/early June so at least you can get an idea of where you stand...

I didn't apply to any CC's in my area but I applied to Los Angeles County School of Allied Health and Nursing as a backup incase I don't get accepted to Chico State, CSUB, OR CSULB. Ideally, I would want to stay in Los Angeles but if I had to move, I would definitely choose CSUB over Chico.

May/June is so late! Hoping this comment bumps this topic so maybe there will be more responders =)

Hey guys, I got a 92 on the teas. I probably could've done better had I studied longer than 2 weeks. Everyone's scores are pretty high though :)

Specializes in Emergency, Tele, Med Surg, DOU, ICU.

I'm confused according to the CSUCI website:

Class of 2015

Applicants: 436

Admitted: 42

Accepted points range: 31-42

But 2014 fall applications aren't yet done?

Congratulations! :) Another fantastic score on this thread.

Two weeks.. that's really good! I only had one week

Oh well... Waiting game.

I got 86% on my TEAS V exam. You guys have such good statistics!

Hey quick question what do you guys use to study for the teas?

Specializes in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

I used the ATI book. You will be using the ATI module curriculum during the program so you might as well get used to it now. I studied a little with it and got a 93%.

Welcome faraway123, JerryR309, la_chica_suerte85! :)

Did you all apply to CSU Bakersfield as well?

Yup I applied for 2014.

I'm not sure if you know this but you get 3 points for living in the surrounding Bakersfield area/Kern county. Also extra points are offered if you're a continuing CSUB student.

I got a 78% on my TEAS which I know isn't great.

Im just really hoping for the best right now.

Hi Everyone,

I have applied for the CSUB BSN 2014 program as well but I wanted to know about the physiology class situation. some of the students were not able to get into the physiology class spring 2014 so , does this mean that they will do the summer 2014 class and the admission letters will be delayed or it will be the same date? I was wondering if anyone had any idea about this situation? will the send out letters at the regular time or not? If anyone knows about this please do share. thank you and congratulations to all of you guys for getting such awesome TEAS score.

GOOD LUCK :)
