CSUB Nursing Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm opening this forum for those that are applying to the program beginning Fall 2020 ? My stats:

Prerequisite GPA: 3.81

Math/Science GPA: 3.73

TEAS: 84.7

I live about 2 hours away from the school so I won't receive the continuing student or residency points.

I also applied to CSUCI.

Good luck to everyone applying!

Thanks for the info Sara! How is the cross town commute for bicycles? Although I might get heat stroke if I do that in the middle of the day LOL!

Has anyone gotten a mask fit test yet? I called like 8 places in the bay area with no luck. I also tried the numbers provided in the initial e-mail from Eva just to check out if they do drop ins or require an appointment and I couldn't get in touch with anyone. Guess I'll try again another day and hope for better luck, maybe they are all busy today!

Cross town is a no no, crazy drivers and horrible roads. But close by csub is more doable! Not in the heat of course!

I haven’t tried yet about the mask fit test, that was in my plans today... fingers crossed.. but I’m not home right now... hopefully we get a spot sometime before August 16th!!

if you all want to do a group of some sorts let me know, since we are not gonna see each other much this semester I think it will make it easier somehow. I’m sure we will all have questions come the time our online classes start!

Hello!! I made a facebook group for those of us who were accepted!! Hopefully this makes communication between us all a bit easier ?

For some reason, I can't add the direct link but if you search on facebook, you'll find the group.

I got my mask fit test recently. I remember Eva sent out a flyer for Universal Occupational Medicine here in Bakersfield, so that's where I got it done! They're out of N95 so KN95 is being used in substitute. It's $55 if I remember correctly.

Thanks Amanda! I'll check it out!

Hey thanks for the info bobaluvr, did you need to make an appointment or could you just drop in? You didn't need to bring your own mask?

Yw! No, I just walked in. You need a mask to enter the building but they provide the KN95 for the test, then you can keep it for yourself after the test!

I have received an email saying that I am provisionally accepted. Does that mean we are provisional accepted to the nursing program?

Would you mind stating what is said in the email?

Hi guys! I was accepted and will be giving up my spot. After years and dedication for Nursing, I realized it's not for me. I hope someone else takes my place--someone who has true passion and wants this more than I do. Love&Respect Nurses & Healthcare professions, thank you for all that you do ❤️

Hey! Thank you for replying! If you are attending the program right now, may I ask how are you liking it so far? Is there a white ceremony?
