Hi everyone,
I'm opening this forum for those that are applying to the program beginning Fall 2020 ? My stats:
Prerequisite GPA: 3.81
Math/Science GPA: 3.73
TEAS: 84.7
I live about 2 hours away from the school so I won't receive the continuing student or residency points.
I also applied to CSUCI.
Good luck to everyone applying!

Just received an email from them saying that they send out acceptance/denial letters in batches each week. I don’t know if that is normal thing for a nursing program to do.
CONGRATS!! I know the acceptance process was so confusing and there seemed to be so many little steps and fees. I had to keep searching for information, and I wanted to keep everyone informed because I know the process was so stressful! I hope I didn't discourage you! ❤️But.. YOU GOT IN! ?? That's all that matters. You should be VERY proud of yourself!? Yes, I will be attending..I hope to see you there!!?
CONGRATS! I got accepted yesterday as well, I asked Eva about classes being online or not and she said the lecture part will be online while the clinicals will be in person. So it sounds like a mix as of now. I am needing to move from the Bay Area very soon, if anyone can drop some tips/hints on places/areas to live in Bakersfield that would be much appreciated! Maybe we could get a GroupMe group message going for everyone in our cohort?

Hello! It will only take a couple of days. I live in Bakersfield and a was worried abt it too because I’m currently in Sonoma county temporarily.. pay for both of them online and go to a Labcorp clinic in your area with your paid receipt, background is really fast, drug test maybe it takes 3 days if all.

I know there’s a General fb group “CSUB student swap” and I recently saw posts of ppl looking for roommates. Mainly it’s for selling books but they post abt everything.
but we should definitely make a fb group or something, so we can stay in contact while most of the classes are online. I fear they may be mostly online in the Spring too ?

You want to stay in the area around CSUB, north west & south west are generally good areas. Other areas may be cheaper but you may find yourself in a not-so-safe area (it really varies street by street sometimes!) and the traffic to cross town Is a pain in the b*tt! So make yourself a favor and stay within the west side of town! You’ll save in fuel money and time! ?
