CSUB Nursing Fall 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm opening this forum for those that are applying to the program beginning Fall 2020 ? My stats:

Prerequisite GPA: 3.81

Math/Science GPA: 3.73

TEAS: 84.7

I live about 2 hours away from the school so I won't receive the continuing student or residency points.

I also applied to CSUCI.

Good luck to everyone applying!

Specializes in student.

I am also applying to CSUCI (my first choice) and SDSU (long shot) Very nervous about this process. Good luck.

Hi

I just applied for the BSN program for fall of 2020 at CSUB. I'm following for updates on when those acceptance letters start rolling in for you all! I'm so anxious about the whole application process. I just hope I didnt miss some crucial step?. Good luck everyone!

(GPA 4.0; TEAS 90.7)

Hi,

I just applied to the bsn program as well. CSULA is my first choice. CSUB is my fourth. In total, I applied to 8 schools. Don’t want to put all my eggs into one basket.

My prerequisite gpa is 3.67

My science and math gpa is 3.86

Teas:81.2

I will not receive points for continuing student or a residency.

Good luck to all!

Has anybody send in their official transcripts to the admission office yet?

Yes, the first official transcripts and the transcript evaluation fee for the nursing program at CSUB should have already been sent. I cant remember the deadlines, but they may have already passed. I'll see if I could find them.

Check your "mycsub" to do list and also check any notifications on your nursingcas application.

This is what I found:

For CSUB

Initial and in-progress transcripts for transfer due: February 15, 2020

Final official transcripts for transfer due: July 15, 2020

For CSUB nursing program evaluation fee ($30) for non-CSUB students due: January 17, 2020

I'm not sure what the deadlines were for nursingcas, but they were supposed to also recieve your initial official transcripts

I hope this helps, but call the nursing department at CSUB if you've missed something, maybe they could help?

I went on the student center and I notice on my ToDo list, it saids to send in my Final Transcripts on April 5th. Did anybody else get that as well?

Hi! They requested official transcripts for me as well, but my due date was back in January. If they are asking for final transcripts, I would take that as a good sign. What icon is displayed in the little box regarding your admission?

I got a provisional acceptance on March 4th.

GPA overall: 3.84

TEAS: 90.7

Got rejected from SDSU, CSULA, CSULB. I live in Los Angeles so I did not get residency points for CSUB. Good luck to everyone else too ?

CSUB nursing department sends out its nursing program acceptance letters between June and August, however, CSUB (just the college) provisional letters of acceptance can come as early as December...BUT, we are going through a crazy time right now! Who knows how the schools will be handling nursing program admissions for FAll 2020! I wish you all the best during this time of uncertainty <3

Isn't Bakersfield one of those schools that if you don't get into your desired program, then you don't get into the school? Would it be safe to assume then that anyone who received provisional acceptance has indeed gotten into the nursing program, or am I wrong?
