CSU Stanislaus Spring 2020

Published

Who else is planning to apply for Spring 2020? What are your stats?

My stats: 3.75 cumulative GPA

3.93 science GPA

4.0 non-science GPA

I am planning to retake my TEAS as well.

I will get extra points for being a CSU Stanislaus student, living in San Joaquin County, and being bilingual.

I will be somewhere around 97-99 points.

WOW!! Thanks. I appreciate the photos!

That's crazy ! I am acutally curious, do we uave to get our immunizations done before orientation? Also how do you recommend studying in the nursing program? Trying to prep LOL. ?

No you don’t. But it helps to have them done early. There will be a specific date where you must have everything uploaded to Castlebranch. It will be explained during orientation. Right now you don’t really need to study LOL. If you want to study, you can for medical terminology. I also have the book, if anyone is interested in buying it from me. You primarily just use the flash cards at the end.

Studying is different for everyone! Take good notes, make flash cards, re-read things you are confused about, look over important concepts, bolded words, charts & diagrams, practice your skills consistently, highlight in the e-books, take practice quizzes, etc. It will be different for you as well. Once you get the hang of the routine, you’ll develop your own study habits.

Hi, I had a question for those of you who got accepted for Spring 2020. I just got accepted for Fall 2020 and the first semester books haven't been posted yet. Can someone give me the names of the books required (or the isbn #). My friend is a few semesters ahead of me in the nursing program so I was going to see if her books are the same, and if not, around how much I can expect to pay.

Thanks

Can I ask you how many points you applied with?

I believe I had 103 points (if they added the 3 classes I took at Stan), if they didn't add the classes, I applied with 93 points

@callmepri Hi, I hope things are going well over at Stan State! I was just curious if labs for the nursing program will still be held face-to-face ? If so, are students able to go to the skills lab outside of classroom hours?

Thank you again for your help!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone currently in the nursing program has received new information about what classes will be like in the fall of 2020? I looked at the scheudle for the nursing program and they are all marked as " fully online" including labs. If anyone has any information, that would be wonderful! Thank you!

Does anyone know where the clinical sites for Stan are?

Thank you.

Hey Ramanjot Im not too sure what you mean when you say you cant make it back until the end of the year and applying to the fall semester since the fall semester is starting in about a month. You should try emailing or contacting the nursing department im sure they are very active since the semester is starting soon. Try emailing individual nursing professors if you have to. Maybe they can connect you to the right people
