CSU Stanislaus Spring 2020

Published

Who else is planning to apply for Spring 2020? What are your stats?

My stats: 3.75 cumulative GPA

3.93 science GPA

4.0 non-science GPA

I am planning to retake my TEAS as well.

I will get extra points for being a CSU Stanislaus student, living in San Joaquin County, and being bilingual.

I will be somewhere around 97-99 points.

@anyn How many points will you be applying with?

No you have to mail it or turn it in person.

Thanks for clarifying! If I finished all my pre reqs then I don't need to check planned or in progress right?

No you don't check either.

Alright, thanks!! Answering your question above, if I calculated everything correctly I'm applying with 94 points. Not sure if that is good or not. Do you happen to know the average points of prior accepted applicants? ?

If you go on their prelicensure website (https://www.csustan.edu/nursing/pre-licensure-bsn-track-0) and click application statistics, it'll give you an idea. I know that someone last semester got accepted with 96 points. I do not know the cutoff.

People with 89-90 were in the waitlist last semester.

I'm thinking about it.. I already go there, but have already been accepted to MJC's program. I would have 101 points.

My question: When do they make their decisions?

Mid November probably

I just applied to Cal State Stan last week. I don't know if I have high enough points to get in though. I have a 4.0 science GPA, 4.0 non-science GPA, and a 3.94 overall GPA. I get a few points for being CNA certified and for living in San Joaquin County but I'm a transfer student so I don't get the extra 10 points for being a Stan student. Also, I'm not bilingual.

I scored very low on the TEAS (75%) but I took the TEAS before taking physiology. The Stan Rep says I'll get in for Spring but I'm not too confident considering my low TEAS score. I believe I have around 87 points overall. I'm so nervous as this is the only school I've applied to.

Does anyone know when the acceptance letters are sent out? I have heard many different dates but nobody seems to know for sure.

I emailed the program director and she said mid to late November typically. It depends on how many applications they have and how soon they get them from evaluations.

I know every semester is different, but do you guys know how far they usually accept people on the waitlist? I’m so nervous because I don’t really have a good prereqs GPA ?

Based on last semester, I know they went up to #18. But obviously it does depend on each semester.
