Hi everyone! I'm wondering who's applying for stanislaus nursing program this spring 2015? Also, what is your overall stats? Btw, I am new to this community, so I'm still learning how to use this haha

Hi Nancy!

Glad you found us & our stanislaus nursing chat box lol! Yeaaa, hope to see everyone soon! And have a good holiday vacay too!

If anyone wants to find me on Facebook my complete name is Nancy Cisneros Ceja. I don't know how to do anything on this site so it'll be hard to keep up with you all! :)

BertG77 ..... What can you tell us about the Medical Terminology test they're suppose to give us at orientation? Is it graded or is it just to see what we know and don't know. Is it just general terms... Or will some of the crazys be on there? Got nervous and bought the book they recommended even though I already had a book.... Think I may have jumped the gun.

The medical terminology test is the first graded test in fundamentals. Ours was out of 50 points and it was comprised of pretty standard or more well known terms as well as certain abbreviations. We as a class mostly studied from the book but also quizzed the heck out of each other using flash cards from quizlet. There are many cards on quizlet already made from the chapters in the book that the school recommended for test. I can't remember the author but if you type in the author and book title into quizlet you'll find the bank of flash cards that correspond to the book. It's easy to freak out about it but it's not crazy difficult.

Nice. I've been using quizlet already :) I'll just keep at it. Thought it was intense that we were having a graded test during orientation! Guess I should get used to "intense"! Have a great rest of your break!

Thank you, and I will! As far as getting used to"intense" I would suggest that you not freak out of get too worried about that. Once you start you'll be fine. You should enjoy your break, too!

We are planning on studying as a group for the medical terminology are you interested?:))

Do you know how Stanislaus does their points by any chance? and if so, what were your points? I've applied to CSULB and they have like an equation they use that's why I'm wondering if Stanislaus does too.

Hi everyone! I'm antsy as hell to get started!! Anyone else going to the boot camp on the 21st? Anyone interested in meeting up and getting some coffee and going over some med term? I live in oakdale, but can go anywhere (most anywhere).

Same here!! I purchased my books today and I cant wait to crack them open. I've been to the science building a few times and all the staff has been beyond amazing. I can't wait to start!! I'm attending the boot camp as well & would love to meet up with you and study. Maybe a few of our classmates will join. I live in Merced so we can meet at school or wherever is most convenient for all of us. We can maybe meet on Monday or Tuesday since Wednesday is the boot camp and Friday the orientation.
