Is anyone planning to apply for the Nursing program at csu stanislaus?
Hey Laura912-
Have you bought a med terminology text yet? We are supposed to be tested on that the first week of school. Are you an existing student at Stanislaus? I just started Stanislaus this semester. I started my upper division general ed.

don't give up....according to past posts there have been plenty of alternates that still got in. Good Luck!
Hey! I got in, numer 3 on the alternate list! I'll be classmates with you guys (and hopefully some of you other alternates, don't give up hope!)
Laura912- What medical terminology book do you recommend?
I'm moving up there from Southern California so any tips on ANYTHING would be helpful (e.g.-weather, areas to live). Also, I'll be up there Sunday night and Monday (5/22-23) if any of you want to meet up and chat about the program :)
Congratulations! I think any medical terminology book will be fine but I am using the book Medical Terminology Systems: A Body Systems Approach. Are you planning on living in Turlock? If you would like to email me my email is [email protected] : ) I would love to meet up and chat :)
Congrats Noelleana! It will be great to meet up with future classmates. Just let me know what day you want to meet. I live in Modesto and Turlock is just 20 minutes away. My email is [email protected].
Laura- I just read what book you have and I bought that same one from Barnes and Noble earlier in the month. How funny!:) It looked really good and I hope to complete it this summer.
Well hope to hear from both of you soon!
Maria-
Couldn't help but read your post and respond... Im in my second year at stan in nursing... I think someone in our class was in the 60's and got in...it all depends who does and doesnt end up deciding on Stan... Keep your chin up...you still have a chance!
To the rest of you who got in...congrats! Its been a longgggg first year but I am amazed at the amount of material I learned.... enjoyyyy your summer. The medical terminology test is not bad at all...just basics...I got the medical terminology made easy book and aced it. You'll be fine :)

Hello hOpeful1-
According to their point system a person can actually make 125 points. But that isn't usually common. My points added to 93. I didn't do too well on the Teas because I didn't study and I felt I was rushed. I like to take my time on tests. So my score was 78%, but I have a 4.0 in all science and non-science classes. I am also bilingual and volunteer at a Modesto hospital. The only thing I didn't get points for was the minimum of 9 units at CSU. I just transferred from MJC.
So hopefully you will get accepted. I wish you great luck!
