CSU Stanislaus Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, Guys!

Is anyone else out there applying for admission to the pre-licensure program at Stan State for Fall 2018? (Deadline January 15th, 2018)

I went in and submitted mine yesterday... fingers crossed!

My TEAS score is 95.3%, science GPA 4.0, overall GPA 3.48, permanent resident of Stanislaus County, and I have 3 years of clinical experience as a phlebotomist.

What are your guys' stats/hopes/dreams/fears?

Best of luck to everyone,

Andrew

Hey I had a question regarding the "Intent to Enroll". I know that it says the due date for our "Intent to Enroll" is by April 13, but many of the other nursing schools I applied to, won't get back to me until after that date. Is it ok if we return our "Intent to Enroll" then decline it later, if we end up getting accepted into another nursing program?

I would for sure send it back and hold a spot for yourself as a back up until you hear back from other programs. That's what I plan to do as I won't hear back from my top choice program/s until later this month.

Thank you! Did you send your "Intent to Enroll" already? And if so how are we supposed to do it because I have no idea LOL

I haven't, but it says to fax or email it in so I was going to print it, fill it out, scan it, and then email it back to them. :)

Hey everyone!

I got accepted into the nursing program for Stanislaus State Fall 2018 as well. It also is not my first choice but I won't hear back from the other schools I have applied to until later this month. It is always okay to rescind your acceptance for personal reasons as long as you explain. As of submitting the intent to enroll, it says to fax or email the letter sent in the mail. My best bet and what I will be doing personally is filling it out, scan and email it to the nursing department (or wherever as instructed). Hope this helps! Congratulations to those who have made it in and good luck to those waiting!!!

Is anyone else having trouble emailing the school or Nursing? For some reason when I send emails to them it tells me that there is a temporary problem.

I sent mine in this morning via email and didn't get any error.

I was accepted and I submitted my Intent to Enroll form, but I also need to enroll in the university and pay the $200. I don't have a username/password so I have no idea how to do that...has anyone done this yet?

Do you have a myCSUSTAN account? If not, you should have received an email/letter a few weeks back with your username and temporary password.

Once you're in your account, you should see a green button that says "MAKE A PAYMENT/VIEW E-BILL". Click on that, and it will open a new window. Once you're there, on the left side of that screen there is a box. It will have an option for "Enrollment Confirmation Deposit". Click that and then hit the button to "add to basket". You should be able to checkout and pay for it now. Hope this helps!

If we accept our admission into the nursing program, we also have to submit the acceptance and admission fee for the university itself by May 1st. ( I am a transfer student) CSU Stanislaus is my second choice and I am waiting to hear back from another university. The other school I have applied to is having a slight delay in notifying students of their admission into the nursing program and may exceed the same intent of enrollment date of May 1st into the university. In this case I will HAVE to accept the university admission to prevent my application from being withdrawn while I wait to find out my status into the nursing program. If I do get in, I will rescind both enrollments of the university and nursing program at Stanislaus. Is anyone else having this issue or have advice/opinions/thoughts?

Thank you for the response! I never got an email or a letter with a username or password so I can't set up an account. I just emailed the school of nursing for help. Thanks again!

Hi,

I also applied to that program (and others), so I know how you feel. Personally, I would accept this offer and pay the enrollment free on May 1st if Sac State hasn't gotten back to us yet (I recognized your username from that thread). If you do end up getting into Sac's program, you'll be out the $200 deposit, but that is better than losing your spot in a program you're already accepted to. You've worked really hard to get to this point; you don't want to wait until spring/next fall to reapply. Hopefully the delay in preliminary results being sent out doesn't mean actual results will be delayed too. I'm still hopeful that they will get them out in time.

It is a crappy situation. I wish all of the school would either waive or defer the enrollment payment until after their decisions had been sent out for nursing majors. It would make it a lot less stressful for everyone. Either that, or commit to having their decision out before the May 1st deadline. My top choice is San Jose state, as I live in San Jose. They have said we should know by 4/27 of our status, but if that gets pushed back I will be in the same boat and have to pay multiple enrollment deposits.
