U.S.A. California

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to make a thread to anyone applying to the BSN nursing program at Stanislaus. Ive been trying to get a hold of them but no one answers there phone. I was looking at the application and the first page says that the app is due the 31st of January along with TEAS but if you look further into the app, where it talks about the teas score and you write it out it says that the TEAS are due Feb 15th? If anyone has some clarity it would be awesome.

Hi! Yea I applied to the BSN program for Fall. I did have issues with transcripts and received my university admission late so maybe that's why I have received any news yet. I'll call tomorrow. Thank you Sweetcorn and isabellaboho for responding!!! :)

Hmm are you sure you all appiled to the BSN program Hun? The application was due in late January I believe. I spoke to someone from the nursing dept and they said the 10th of April you we're suppose to notify if you were going to intent to enroll if you got accepted. I received a letter in the mail with the envelope we sent in with our application.

Hi, I was just wondering if you could share your point total you applied with? I'm applying for the spring semester and I wanted to get an idea if I even stand a chance or not. I currently have 71 pts I believe.

Hello everyone, I am going to be starting the BSN program in the Fall 2014 and am wondering if there are any current or future CSU Stanislaus students who commute from the Oakland area, or anywhere in the East Bay? If so, I'm curious about the sustainability of maintaining this kind of commute and if anyone has any insight? Does anyone know of possible ride shares, or the like? Thanks!

Hey Robert, I am currently in the BSN program too. Congrats on getting in. As far as commuting, that seems like quite the commitment to me. You don't necessarily have clinicals the first semester, but once you do (starting 2nd semester) you will have to be at the hospital pretty early. If you don't mind early mornings then that may work for you. Also, nursing classes tire you out and I know after first semester I was done by the end of the day. As far as ride shares, I am not sure unless you can carpool with a fellow student. I would recommend looking at staying on campus if you can. A couple of people in my cohort did since they were not from the area either, and your classes are literally 5 min walk from where you live.

Thank you for the advice, adavenport! I am really excited to begin class next month and am beginning to realize that it may be best for me to find a place to stay in Turlock at least for a few nights a week during the first semester. I'll inquire about housing at orientation tomorrow.

Rent a room. Lots of local housing in Craigslist, a lot for less than 500 a month.

Hey all,

Congrats to those that were accepted! I was just wondering if anyone who was accepted or who applied/is going to apply wouldn't mind sharing their stats, PRETTY PLEASE?

Also, how are you all paying for this program?

Thanks a bunch!
