Hi!
As application period for the ASBSN program at Stan State is nearing, I was hoping to get a thread going so I can talk to others interested in this program.
Anyone here applying?
I got in! Has anyone heard anything about the program from a current/past student's perspective?
I'm currently at an ADN program, and I'm not sure if I should withdraw and choose Stan's program. I'm hoping to make a decision ASAP to let someone from the waitlist in if I do decide to decline.
Congrats to those that got in!!

Oh congratulations! I don't have any past/current advice though I would definitely consider cost/time since you are already in a program. How much longer until you get your associates? This program will go from pre-licensure to a bachelors in a year and a half. So depending how much time you have left would be a weighing factor. If you continue with the associates you can sign up from the RN-BSN after which is online and half the cost of the asbsn program

Congrats on getting in! It's a big accomplishment considering how competitive the program's gotten in the past year.
I actually just started my Associate's in August, so I have about the same time left if I were to start in the January at Stan. My mom works at one of the clinical sites for the program, and she's had a couple ASBSN students during her shifts. So far they've said that the program is good with the exception of the pharmacology class. One student said she didn't feel like the professor taught the class well enough for them to retain useful information.
Thanks for the advice! I'm literally making a pros and cons list right now hahah
