CSU Stanislaus ASBSN Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

I'm curious as to how many people on here are planning on applying for the ASBSN program through Stanislaus State. Due to Covid-19, the process is entirely online. While the application fee has been waived (hooray!) we do have to pay for transcripts to be emailed electronically so the cost evens out (dangit). It looks like a fabulous program, and although it's pricey at around $36k it's cheaper than other accelerated programs in the Sacramento/NorCal region.

Has anyone else received notifications? I’m still waiting over here *crying

I haven’t. I’m hoping that we’ll receive emails on Friday. Not planning to worry until then!

It is a bit odd to me that there are, what, at least a dozen of us on here? Even if there were 120 applicants, it would be a bit shocking if only one of us received some kind of notification. And at this point, I don't even care--I just need to know so I can start planning my next courses of action.

I agree! I received an acceptance from another school a month ago and have been waiting to hear back from stanislaus before making a final decision. Since they pushed the decision deadline back, I had to accept the other schools offer and put down a large deposit which I will lose if I get into stanislaus and decide to go there. This is incredibly frustrating!

I'm still waiting on my notification too! This is my 3rd application to an ABSN program this year. I'm so anxious and losing hope.

I took a look at the forum for the last pre-licensure cohort that was accepted last November. According to user @callmepri, "...Emails [letters] go out first for those accepted and then waitlisted will get a letter in the mail with an alternate number." So if we haven't received anything yet, we are either waitlisted or not accepted.

As for mail taking a long time to arrive...I currently work for a law firm in Roseville, CA, and we have a case going on in San Joaquin County Court. The court endorsed something around the 6th, it was post marked the 7th, and we received it yesterday the 13th. Anything that would have been mailed out to us on the 5th would have arrived by now.

Sorry guys, I'm not trying to be pessimistic. I'm trying to be a realist and think this through, and I'm posting this here for others who are in my situation and trying to figure out their entire life while we wait for those things to show up. LOL!

Sorry to be that super extra girl, but I e-mailed the program coordinator and she said admissions decisions would be released via email and no decisions have been released yet. Possible that Pbavaro was applying to another program?

Thank you for the update, @chesed18!

Hey everyone, first off I want to apologize for the late response! All the notifications went to my spam! Second, I want to apologize AGAIN because a friend told me that this thread was for all the graduate programs with Stan State and I only skimmed the last page of the thread and saw others had received the same email with the graduate school at the top. I got a letter in the mail for the MSN FNP program. After seeing the emails and realizing all of you applied for the Stockton campus I feel so horrible for mentioning my letter!! Hope and pray you all hear SOON about the program! And again, I am so sorry for having everyone on their toes ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

Hey @Pbavaro, thanks for clarifying the situation. I know it is hard to keep track of schools sometimes, and I am happy you were accepted into your program. Congratulations and the best of luck to you!

Decisions are out. Check your email. I am in! Good luck to everyone in this thread!

Me too! Yay ? Curious - is everyone planning to move to Stockton? I live in Berkeley, which is 1.5-2 hours away depending on traffic. If our clinicals and labs only have us on campus a few days a week I may just commute in.

I also got in! I currently live in Tracy so the commute is short! Congratulations everyone!!
