CSU Stanislaus ASBSN Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello everyone!

I have yet to see a thread on CSU Stan's ASBSN program for this Fall 2014. I just wanted to see how many people out there have applied like myself :) Best of luck to everyone!

Do you guys think they will really wait til the end of the month to give out decisions? I guess I'm just feeling really anxious!

I hope its sooner but who knows what will happen. I'm still slightly nervous that I didn't get the email that most of you guys got - hopefully that's not some sort of bad sign. I searched on here for last year's thread and it looks like decisions went out mid-August - I really hope it doesn't drag out that long!

Yes let's hope they don't change the date again.

@hungrygirl how long did it take for them to notify you? and how did they do it? (email, phone call)

and i know you were accepted so you might not know, but do they notify those who are not accepted at the same time as well?

Also, I know you do not want to mention your stats which is understandable and Im sure they require solid grades and TEAS scores to get in, but would you mind sharing maybe the range of TEAS scores for that cohort? Obviously the higher the score the better, but I just wanted to know since the cohort was so diverse, maybe scores were as well? (if you know, of course, and wouldn't mind sharing).

Thank you for being a resource though!

I looked it up a while ago but I believe the application due date for last cohort was mid July. That means they had around a month turnaround to find out acceptance decisions...its interesting how its taking so much longer. I asked for average stats before and the director and office assistant said it really varies. My TEAS score is 86.7 and she said was a pretty solid score. So I'm guessing that may be in the upper range? I can imagine it being more competitive for this cohort. Also she mentioned that the cutoff for last cohort was in the upper 50s for point totals. Hope that helps! I had many of the same questions as well hahah

@SimbaSam Thank you so much for that information! It puts me a little at ease. I just wonder how they go about evaluating all of it because I know I missed out on the 5 points for not graduating from a CSU, which I think is a bit absurd (lol), but I am bilingual so that helps me out... but how heavily weighed is all of that really? And how do they calculate points for the experience...its all a little unclear, but I guess we will know how it all turns out soon. Ive been trying to be very optimistic and with this information you have given makes me a little more, but we will see. Thank you! Good luck!

@rgallo. So I only know the TEAS score of the girl who sat next to me during orientation and she, similar to SimbaSam, got an 86. And yes, last year we found out in about a month after the deadline. I think I got a call and a letter.

And I don't know if they contact you if you are not accepted.

@hungrygirl thank you!

I hope decisions come out soon!

Fingers crossed that this week is the week we find out!!!

Been crossing fingers and toes! lol

But we will know soon. The suspense is killing me.

Happy thoughts.

Check your emails because they have sent notifications today!!

I got in!!!! :D Good luck to everyone!!
