is there a way to check if your status is saved/posted on the MyCSUSM portal or do you have to call in? All i see is my "completed application". I am just awaiting my evaluation report.

Mine just said completed application until I got accepted, then it said 'accepted, accept/reject'. I would keep calling though. I received my evaluation and then got accepted all within a day so I think they are random.

Hey all just wanted to let you know my stats were not that great. My points were in the upper 20s and i got an 87% on the TEAS. I don't even know how I got accepted!! So grateful to the decision makers.

Anyway, good luck to you all and my advice would be just don't look at your stats, once you submit your application all you can do is wait.

Hi, Can I ask when did you submit everything and what cohort did you intend to apply? I called yesterday and the lady in the extended learning office told me that many people that got acceptance letter were and are the ones who applied for Spring 2015 so they have priority to people who were applying for summer 15 or Fall 15 cohort. and congrats!!

Just recently received my conditional acceptance to Fall 2015 program =)
My over all points was in the 20s so not that high, and my Teas test score is if I remembered correctly around 91%? Hope that helps to give you an idea =)
But it took about an week or longer for the school to get back to me after I got my evaluation, and like hangonavocado previously mentioned, I had some problems with having my application status changed from saved to posted as well.
@ljlevenson Thank you for making the group! However, is it set on private? Since I cannot seem to find it on facebook? Never mind found it. xD

I had applied in February, I was called today and offered a spot in the summer session (according to the advisor they are filling a few more spots). But I asked if they would take me in the fall and he said yes and I was sent an email for conditional acceptance for Fall 2015. I got my evaluation email this morning as well. I do recommend that you call and email, which is what I did when I didn't get my evaluation after 5weeks.

Congrats...Do you mind me asking what ur status are? bc thats when I applied and sent everything! But my only thing is that I have some classes in progress just to pass time till I get in but I think it wasnt a good idea.

Hi,

Thanks. When I applied I had all my classes done, and I did not apply earlier because I needed to be at the Temecula campus. I called to check the status of my application 5 weeks after I had everything in, I was told that it could take up to 8 weeks. After 8 weeks passed I called again and I was given the name and email of an adviser, who I emailed and they responded that I was on their list to be evaluated by the end of the week. 2 days later I got my evaluation at 8:40am and a phone call by 11:00am. The adviser did say that they were very behind. Which must be true since they offered me a spot for the summer which has the start of June 3 (only 3 weeks), which I felt would have been very rushed. My stats are pretty good, I had 3.68 pre-nursing core GPA, and my total points 35. I was also told that they have only accepted only a few people so far for the fall quarter, so don't give up. And good luck to everyone, I know how hard and stressful it is to wait for an answer.

Unless things have changed, it is a rolling acceptance process. This means the school ranks all current applicants and selects a few at regular intervals, perhaps monthly. If you are a strong applicant relative to the others, you will be selected and hear back more quickly. Otherwise your application may be silently passed on to the next evaluation period.

This continues year round as CSUSM starts at least 50 people in the Summer and many more in other semesters. At the same time, you have to follow up to make sure they have a full application for you and are not just waiting on you to send something else. Good luck!

Alright, just a small update for those anxiously waiting.

So just called Extended Learning and was notified from the speaker that most advisers are starting to focus on Fall 2015 applicant evaluations, and slowly going to start sending out admissions as the applicant pool starts to fill, (seems about right based on how most admissions for Fall 2014 came out in end of May/Beginning of June). For the first time, the person that helped me actually reviewed my application, and told me my application was to advisers. I'm guessing this is what some people mean by having their application "posted". I was also told that ALL applicants do get an evaluation letter (either by mail or email) despite being admitted to the program.

Woo hoo I got accepted to the Fall 2015 cohort! First found out on the MyCSUSM Portal, and then called in to confirm and adviser told me it was official ^_^
