Hello,
I am new here to allnurses.com so bear with me. I was wondering if anyone applied to the absn program at CSU San Marcos for summer 2009? Have you heard anything back yet?

I know most CSU are not taking students for Spring 2010, but I am not sure for the nursing program.
I read a few posts here saying that CSUSM generic BSN is closed for spring 2010.
Still, not sure for the ABSN.

Every CSU is on an admissions freeze: No school is accepting new students except for Humbolt State. You should double check to see whether or not the "higher ups" can get you accepted to the school IF you get accepted into the program.
For now the Spring 2010 Generic BSN program is cancelled. I don't think that the accelerated program would be cancelled cuz they charge you guys a lot more $$ than they charge the generic program....

Has anyone heard back from San Marcos regarding their application status?
Not yet.
i called san marcos today and they've extended the reviewing period to 8-10 weeks from when you submitted your last transcript. when did everyone turn in their last transcript? i have about a month or so of waiting ... =(
I send them all in July. It seems the review process takes forever
Have anyone heard anything back yet?

I applied for the Spring 2010 cohort as well. I'm so anxious. I really hope the recent CSU Budget cuts aren't affecting the ABSN program (considering we will be paying WAY more). Anyone heard from them?
Nothing

The budget cuts won't affect the ABSN program because it's being done thru extended learning.....one of the reasons why it costs so much
it's getting on my nerve..
I will call them on Monday
