  1. I took two online classes over the summer to improve my last 60 unit gpa and finished pharmacology which was the last prerequisite that I needed to complete. My overall gpa was only a little over a 3.0 but I think I got in because I've completed all the prerequisites and my science gpa is high. My NET score was 93 which also helped. I also took a CNA course over the summer to get some healthcare experience. I was reallly discouraged last March when I found out I didn't get in, so I know how you feel. Don't give up, I think that if you keep reapplying and showing them that you are trying to improve your stats as much as possible you will get in:)
  2. I also got an acceptance call today! I was rejected for the summer session so I am so happy I finally got in. Can't wait until January!!
  3. I'm not sure if I'm in yet. Supposedly they are sending letters out sometime before Sept. 15th so they should be coming soon. I know it is a bummer how competitive nursing school admission is. I just want to be a nurse, why is it so hard!!
  4. I talked to an admissions counselor today, there were 177 applications to San Mateo and 129 to Sacramento for spring 2010.
  5. Does anyone know how many applications they have received for spring 2010? Has anyone received any updates?
  6. I too applied to both campuses for January 2010. San Mateo is also my first choice. I haven't gotten an email saying they received my application yet though... I wonder how many applications they received...
  7. Hello, I applied to SMU last november and was waitlisted for the summer absn programs. I was told I could've forwarded my application for the Fall SF cohort but decided not too. I emailed Lizzie and she said I could forward my application this november for the summer 2010 cohorts in Oakland and SF.
  8. I'm not sure, I hope it remains unimpacted though. I'd be interested in knowing how many people have applied. Lets keep in touch about the program and hopefully we'll both get in!!
  9. I am applying to Saddleback and Santa Ana for spring 2010. I have A's in all prereqs except a B in micro and a 3.7 gpa in my last 12 units. I'm hoping I am a competitive applicant but have heard that you have to have a 4.0 to bypass the waitlist. Does anyone have any info about this?
  10. I am applying for Saddleback's spring 2010 program in June. I have A's in all prereqs except a B in micro. I also have a 3.7 in my last 12 units. Do you think I'll be competitive or do you really have to have all A's?
  11. I applied for Spring 2010 as well. I am taking the TEAS today so should know those scores soon. My pre-nursing core gpa is 3.52 and my overall gpa is unfortunately only 2.7. I hope my TEAS test goes well to make up for my gpa.
  12. Hello, I am new here to allnurses.com so bear with me. I was wondering if anyone applied to the absn program at CSU San Marcos for summer 2009? Have you heard anything back yet?
