CSU San Marcos ABSN Summer 2015

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to start a thread about the Summer 2015 Cohort for the ABSN program at CSU San Marcos. I looked at the previous Summer 2014 thread and they found out admission decisions on February 10! That is coming up soon!!! This can be a forum to discuss questions about the program, application stuff, or (if we all get into the program) we can discuss everything else that comes after getting accepted!! Congrats!! What were all of your points?? If you don't mind sharing. And how long do they give you to decide? I will be receiving another admission decision next month and want to know if I'll have options. Thanks!

Is that displayed on the Eval? Mine says 23 and I got a 89.7 on the TEAS. I have nearly a 4.0 for my last 60 units. I guesstimate around 44 for total points. I was given two weeks to make a decision after the acceptance.

Congrats David! I'm Kelsey, by the way. I had 43 points, sunbun123. That's with a 90.1 on the TEAS and a 3.92 in pre nursing core. My evaluation sheet didn't include what they calculated my last 60 units GPA to be.

By the way, if anyone is having problems with Cashnet with their enrollment deposit, the Extended Learning said that it automatically asks for a parent pin login within 24-48 hours of admittance so they said to wait a couple of days and try again. But when I tried again, I am getting a new error message that I do not have credentials to login or my cookies are disabled. I finally called them and they said to e-mail the screenshot so they can send it to the IT department to get checked. Anyone having the same issue?

That's the error message I got (is it in red text?) and I sent in the screen shot. They couldn't figure it out so I paid over the phone.

Yup. Now I'm just waiting for them to respond. We'll see if they fix it or I'll have to pay over the phone too.

Congrats to those that have gotten in so far. My evaluation said I had 31 points and it took me 12 weeks to hear back with a lot of calling on my end. They don't always have things organized, but I expected that based on past threads I've read. Call and keep calling. I always called --------------- directly. He is awesome and so patient!

FOr those of you who have gotten accepted and submitted your intent to enroll, any news on orientation? I paid my deposit almost 2 weeks ago and got a confirmation email, but haven't received anything since? Have you guys received any other emails?

Congratulations suflores! I just got an e-mail this morning and they said that the semester starts Saturday, May 30th. Here's the info on the orientation:"Orientation programs for new students are conducted between June and August. Newly admitted students must submit the Intent to Enroll and pay the enrollment deposit to reserve an Orientation date. Further information regarding reserving an Orientation date will be sent in coming weeks/months"

I'm not sure if that is correct though because shouldn't we have orientation before the semester starts?

I got the same email as dbiggies, and it said the same thing about orientation between June and August, which I also assumed to be an error. It would have to be in April or May sometime, I think.

I have a friend who was also admitted to this cohort way back in late November or early December, and she received an email about the background check, but I haven't received that yet. She hasn't heard anything about orientation. Keep us posted if you all get any more info! :)
