CSU San Marcos ABSN Summer 2015

Published

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to start a thread about the Summer 2015 Cohort for the ABSN program at CSU San Marcos. I looked at the previous Summer 2014 thread and they found out admission decisions on February 10! That is coming up soon!!! This can be a forum to discuss questions about the program, application stuff, or (if we all get into the program) we can discuss everything else that comes after getting accepted!! Good luck to everyone!

I submitted my original transcripts in November and I didn't get an evaluation sheet until mid-February so it might take a little longer. It may have also been the fact that there was a break for Winter season. Hopefully yours will come soon. Meanwhile, I hope it doesn't take too long to update my grade since it's just a single grade. Waiting this long really causes me anxiety and I'm sure the same goes for everyone else.

Last week after I had asked about background checks and registering for classes they said they are still working on the Summer cohort. So there may still be a chance you get accepted! My advice is BE PERSISTANT. Email them every 2 to 3 days and ask for a day they will get back to you. I'm sorry you are feeling anxiety from all this!! It's such a terrible feeling!! Hopefully you hear good news soon! Good luck!

Hi

@pablo690 I submitted my complete application back mid December. They claimed I was missing a transcript even though student center stated everything was complete. I resubmitted the transcript early February and just received my eval this past thurs and my acceptance email today. So there is still a chance just stay on top of it. good luck!!

I received my acceptance and eval last week as well! However, I am pulling my application because I got into another program. Hopefully that makes room for another person! As for my timeline, I submitted everything January 19th (teas & all transcripts with completed classes; none in progress) and received my eval and admissions 9 weeks later. I also had a total of 32 points (82% teas, 3.43 pre req gpa, and 3.92 last 60 unit gpa) There is hope, this school is a little easier to get into compared to other programs so just stay positive and be patient and I'm sure you'll get in! Goodluck future nurses!!

I too have been accepted to the Summer 2015 cohort. Excited and nervous! I want to connect with other people who will be in the cohort.

Man, it took forever to get things sorted out. After many emails and phone calls, my final evaluation sheet came in and I was accepted! Thank you guys for your advice. It really did help with the stress of waiting. Word of advice for others: call and email often for updates and questions!
