  1. Hi there! Congrats on getting offered a position! I am planning to apply to the next New Grad RN program for 2017. I'm applying in November and I was wondering if you could share some of your qualifications/experience? I did my preceptorship in L&D, I have a year of volunteer experience in L&D, I was a CNA for 5 years, I have my AWHONN affiliation and am certified in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and ECG Monitoring. I know UC davis has a very competitive program and I would honestly be happy on any unit (it doesn't have to be L&D). Any advice for someone going through the process? Thanks and congrats on getting an offer!
  2. Hey all! Just an update- I took nclex on the 20th and received my results the 23rd. so it was a 3 day wait for me! goodluck to all waiting!!
  3. It has been two days for me.. and nothing yet! hoping for tomorrow or early next week!
  4. Hello all, I'm new to this thread and it looks like I'm in the same boat as you guys. I took my NCLEX-RN this morning. It shut off at 75 questions and about 1/3 of the exam was SATA. I also just tried the PVT and got the "good pop up". So now the waiting begins! I received a 93% passing predictor for ATI and a 94% passing predictor from Kaplan, I find it hard to believe that I received both of those scores and bombed NCLEX (Since shutting off at 75 is either really good or it can mean you bombed it). However, I still have my fears and doubts since I had difficulty with all but a few questions. I am interested to hear how soon you all get your results. It really is a bummer that CA makes us wait so long. Missyak92: I applied and sent in all my paperwork by mail on July 15th 2016, graduated on August 20th 2016, and received my ATT on August 24th 2016. However, students from my school received their ATT quicker than any other school I have heard so maybe CA is getting quicker!
  5. I just found this.. whoops!
  6. I received my acceptance and eval last week as well! However, I am pulling my application because I got into another program. Hopefully that makes room for another person! As for my timeline, I submitted everything January 19th (teas & all transcripts with completed classes; none in progress) and received my eval and admissions 9 weeks later. I also had a total of 32 points (82% teas, 3.43 pre req gpa, and 3.92 last 60 unit gpa) There is hope, this school is a little easier to get into compared to other programs so just stay positive and be patient and I'm sure you'll get in! Goodluck future nurses!!
  7. They received all of my transcripts on jan.23 and I still do not have my eval. Its been 6 weeks. I called yesterday and they said they are working on it and I should get a complete eval soon. Very vague
  8. I'm still waiting as well. I turned everything in weeks ago and there is nothing in my to do list but my application still says incomplete. I called and they told me to wait awhile until they update my application. I still haven't received an eval.. what was the timeline for everyone regarding the final eval?
  9. dbiggies- I retook it and got an 83% which gives me 31 or 32 points total. (3.91 last 60 units) and (3.42 pre-req GPA) i hope it'll get me in, I applied and sent in my transcripts Jan.19. I have no classes in progress or anything so I'm hoping I'll be considered for summer but with the amount of time it takes them to get things done over there i could be pushed to fall. I'd be fine with either though. When did you apply?
  10. I'm from nor cal too! Sonoma county, I went to sonoma state for my undergrad! However, my family is from so cal so that's why I applied to so cal schools. If I don t get in ill probably apply to samuel Merrit! I think you'll get into one of these schools with your grades and scores! Goodluck to you!
  11. That's a good score! ya it doesn't seem to be too competitive. I only applied to one other school, Concordia University Irvine and that is actually my top choice! did you by chance apply there?
  12. hey sunburn 123! I am applying this upcoming Monday because I'm taking the TEAS over this Sat. I did poorly..82% I can do better! I didn't want to apply until I had all of my materials including my new TEAS score! This may push me back to fall 2015 though but I'm ok with that! I'm so excited to finally be applying to Nursing School!
  13. Hi, I am in the process of applying, for those of you who got in.. how are you planning on paying for the program? I often times here that it is extremely difficult to get financial aid for a second bachelors degree. Any input would be appreciated, it would be awful to receive an acceptance and then realize I can't go because I can't afford it.
  14. Hi everyone, I am hoping to be accepted for Summer or Fall 2015 since I am finishing my Bachelors degree this semester and my last prereq (Public Speaking). I am unsure of when to submit my application since I wont have official transcripts until January. Should I apply in the fall and then send my transcripts or just wait until January when I'll have all of the materials? Also my points do not seem very high, I have 31 points total to my calculation. I only scored an 82% on the TEAS so I am thinking about retaking it to increase my points. What do you all suggest? Can we even retake the TEAS for this school or do they take your first passing score? Thanks in advance!
