Hey everyone! I know this is so far away but I wanted to start a thread for the crazy pre nursing students like myself who are already totally anxious for this next spring to come around! All who are applying to CSU'S for FALL 13 admissions lets start a convo! This way we can use it as a resource for application and other deadlines and a support system while we await are letters! How are everyones stats? Where are you all applying to? Have any of you taken the TEAS yet? Ill start...

I am applying to SFSU, SAC STATE, SAN JOSE STATE, CSUEB, AND USF

cum GPA-3.98

pre reques-4.0 (Still need to take Microbio)

TEAS-havent taken it yet

over a year of pain healthcare work with direct patient care(clinical medical assistant)

multi cultural experience in brazil and nicaragua

2 semesters of ASL(does that count as proficient???)

Late May? As if one more week of torture wasn't enough. Now, it's another month?

Does anyone know if we can send our "INTEND TO ENROLL" to different schools at the same time- even if we dont know we will be going there? The deadline is on MAY 1st and I'm still waiting for SFSU and CSUEB to let me know about my acceptance. I received a message that says "If you do not complete any part of this multi-step "Intent to Enroll" process by the May 1 deadline, we will withdraw your application".

Can someone help me with this please??

According to Sac State homepage,

"IMPORTANT Instructions for "New" Transfer Students (Second Bachelors - this does NOT apply to you!): Please be sure you return your University, Intent to Enroll (ITE) by the May 1 deadline,www.csus.edu/admissions/ite. This is a critical deadline! Failure to return your ITE by May 1 will result in your application being withdrawn from consideration from the University and the School of Nursing (no fee required, not a promise to enroll). When you receive your admission decision, please check your Alternate number. If you are Alternate 1-50, please submit a "yes" Intent pending news from the School of Nursing (no fee required, not a promise to enroll). The last Alternate selected fall 2012 was number 47 (usually mid-twenties).

So, I think it is safer to send Intend to Enroll thing . I hope this can help you making decision.

I'm wondering the same "intent to enroll" thing. Thanks for the info on Sac State, j0831. CSUEB and SFSU are different for 2nd bacc's, though. We applied to those universities. I'm thinking that if I still haven't heard about my acceptances by May 1, I will try to submit multiple ITE's, to all the schools I'd like to attend, if admitted. I sure hope that works.

I just emailed CSUEB and SFSU about the Intent to Enroll issue. I'll let you know when/if they get back to me.

I know this is a bit late but I can assure that if you receive an acceptance email from CSUEB's nursing program, it will clearly state that you are being accepted. Likewise, a rejection letter would also makes its intentions clear. So when you get the actual email there should me no guessing.

Here is the answer I received from the CSUEB Nursing program about submitting our Intent to Enroll (even though we don't yet know if we have been accepted):

You can submit the intent to register and then later decline if it doesn’t work out. We also have some flexibility with the general admissions office for special circumstances, such as the admission of students late in the summer from the waitlist.

Thanks for posting that scwolf !

Thanks scwolf, let us know if SFSU gets back to you as well

I applied to CSU San Marcos for fall 2013 (rolling admissions) and I called yesterday for an update. They said that mine had gone through all their different departments and a decision will be mailed out this week. Keeping my fingers crossed! They said for their campus all decisions are put in the mail (not emailed) acceptance or rejection. I got into the ACE program (11 mos...yikes so scary!) and they need a deposit by May 13 to hold my spot. Good luck everyone!

I'm absolutely on the edge of my seat. All along, I'd been thinking that late-April was the time, but waiting until late May is going to be rough. I ended up finishing my pre-reqs with a 3.991 GPA (an A- in O-chem nailed me), and I had a 94.5 on the TEAS, but since I have no supplementals and there are 900+ applicants, I'm...scared.

Hopefully we hear something sooner rather than later, but either way, good luck, all!

Dang your stats are great !!! If be happy with an A- I got a B in O-chem :( but it would be soooo great if we got a response sooner ! I was looking forward to mid April only to find out late May :/but I can't imagine having to go through 900+ applications !!! We are leaving the country Mid May so maybe Ill have good news when I come back ! Fingers crossed !
