Hey everyone! I am going to be applying for Chico's nursing program for Fall 2020. Just wondering how everyone's application process is going and what their point standing is as of right now. I am very nervous but hopeful!
Hello,
this is the closest thread I can find regarding Chico State University. I’ve been an RN since 2019 and would like to pursue my BSN (online if it’s possible). I just want to ask, the Chemistry requirement that you guys took, was Intro to Chemistry applicable to apply? Or is it a Chemistry higher than intro? Thank you! Responses are appreciated. I emailed a lady online, but she hasn’t responded back yet.

Hi! Are you looking for this information about their RN to BSN program? I would say definitely contact the program coordinator ( she is awesome, she got right back to me.) You can find her contact info on the website - https://www.csuchico.edu/nurs/programs/RN-BSN/index.shtml
They are also holding an info meeting on zoom tomorrow. If you email her, she can sign you up for it.
Hi all,
I am applying for fall 2021 and I was wondering how did you guys submit your language requirements?
I do not have it on my transcript but it is my first language, so how can I prove it? With covid going on I am unable to meet with a professor to evaluate me and hand write a letter to the school so what should I do?

You have to get a letter of verification or have your high school/college transcripts to support your ability to be bilingual. Unfortunately, if you do not have that, there's not way you would be able to prove it.

Hi,
I would suggest emailing a few professors and asking to set up some form of zoom evaluation. The letter doesn't need to be handwritten, it is supposed to be typed on letterhead, so it wouldn't take up a huge chunk of their time. If you don't do that, I don't think there is any other way to verify your language. Good luck!

Hi! I suggest you meet with an evaluator over Zoom. Such as a staff member for the language you want to meet with. Then after they can just send you the letter via email.
here is the homepage of the international languages, literature, and cultures: https://www.csuchico.edu/illc/
Side note: if you want to get evaluated for Spanish I contacted Ronny Garrido!

I got that email as well. It makes me feel more confident that I’m registered in the program now
