Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.
I was supposed to reapply for Spring 2015 but just realized a week too late that the limited entry application workshop was MANDATORY! I'm extremely mad and disappointed because: 1) This would have been my third time applying; 2) I got in the first time- had to withdraw; 3) Was an alternate the 2nd time- they had no open spots 4)This was not required the past times I have applied and before it was only the health program orientation that was mandatory 5) I spoke to a health adviser and he didn't even make it clear that it was mandatory if I wanted to apply! 6) I was going to go anyway but I got the dates for the August 21 workshop confused(I didn't think it would be a big deal....I was wrong..very wrong...and now very sad)
I called the limited entry office and she said I could go to the Sept. 9 workshop and turn in my application late but I know that they don't accept late applications. I want to try calling the nursing department but I know they are a stickler for rules. Le sigh.
Greetings all!!! I applied about two weeks ago for the spring 2015 RN program. I have 36 points toward the full time. This is really an exciting time for me and I'm sure everyone else as well. While waiting for the call I plan to do some brushing up on bio and math. I hear that dosage calculations are quite difficult so if anyone is interested maybe we could start a study-prep group. Let me know if your interested to study at the Cheyenne campus!

hi There! Congrats on applying! I am sure we are all anticipating the end of October!
I am definitely interested in a study group. But Cheyenne is a little far from me. Is anyone interests in Charleston campus?
Hey christina731! Is there any books or websites you've come across that might have similar scenarios as the math tests?
I only use toolbox and whatever they provide me for each class. They will offer it over winter break and it literally saved my butt. I would not have ever passed a math exam without this. If you can't take toolbox, get in touch with someone who has and bribe them with coffee to share their knowledge and info! But it is seriously the best money I've ever spent. It was only 1.5 credits so like $150 or so and the instructor will let you sit in on any of her toolbox classes in the future to refresh. You will NEVER find an instructor who let's you do that. She will also provide you with 1 on 1 help during her office hours for any student (just make sure you come prepared with what your problem is - don't expect her to teach there). They will give you more info about this at orientation so keep your ears open then.
Actually in all of my classes I only use what they provide to me/require and I've always done just fine. I never use supplemental books/websites for studying. Too much info confuses me!
Sorry to hear it hasn't been going your way. I remember them mentioning you can turn in your application late but they'll only review your application if there would be any seats remaining. ( Something along those lines)
They re-opened the application time for my class after the due date but it wasn't posted anywhere. I only found out about it from someone who went to the limited entry office for something else and overheard. So call the limited entry office and the nursing office periodically and find out if they might extend it.

Get yourself used to driving far now. You will have to go to Cheyenne for several classes. Clinicals are also held anywhere in town. I've driven up to 40 miles each way to some sites.

KAyba ... how did you schedule a workshop over the phone. I went to one over a year ago and I do not have my date. i did not expect to pass my teas this weekend and I am having difficulties getting any answers from csn. They tell me to talk to --------------------- yet she is on vacation!!!! I have read that the workshop can only be 6 months prior. Thanks so much if you can tell me how you went about having it done over the phone. It just angers me because I have done this all correctly.
