  1. Five years ago, three people in our group failed, including myself. They kept going but I quit. A couple of months ago I'm working as a CNA and they hired one of the ladies. She is one of the most respected Nurses on the floor and no one would ever have known that she failed a semester. And no one will! Keep going! This semester is probably is a blessing in disguise.
  2. My condolences to everyone. This is a real sad situation.
  3. Thanks SeattleJess and RunbabyRn...!!
  4. How much writing does the nursing program require? I really struggle with writing.
  5. I chose option #13 for my schedule. I really wanted a Saturday for clinical but I was not going to take an online class. No thanks!
  6. From my understanding, we were to get TB step one- get the shot 2 days later get it checked then TB step 2 which is get another shot 7 days from the first TB shot then get it read 2 days later. Step 1 and 2 TB. Also I believe that it was recommended that we do not get Varicella and MMR before we do the 1 step TB because it can give a false reading of positive. I was going to take my CPR class this weekend at the place that CSN recommended(flyer in the packet). Does anyone else plan on attending the CPR class this weekend?
  7. Erin13, there are so many different components in the process it could have been anything. but Kaybah jenae is right you should go speak to the admissions department so you know what it was exactly. Whatever you do don't give up, you made it thus far.
  8. Does anyone know the password to the 223 biology website?
  9. JulesW07, right on! From my understanding by the last orientation, January 16th, we should have everything done. CPR, shots, insurance, uniforms etc. I believe that financial distributes grants January 10th. So that is why I'm concerned. I have to put all my ducks in a row.
  10. I'm concerned about how much money will financial aid will pay and how much out of pocket cost I will have to pay for this semester. The medical supplies, books and ATI tests covered by financial aid or will I need to pay for those myself? If anyone knows please let me know as soon as possible.
  11. Thanks!! That's definitely helpful information. I started school Spring 2012 and I must admit The last three semesters I felt burnt out. I think it's because fall 2012 I just over did it with classes. Now I know that I need a break from time to time and I will be taking Summer break because I plan to study for the classes following each semester. I heard a person from the nursing program stating they had to read like 5 chapters in between exams. I also heard that the nursing program is more challenging than all the biology courses.
  12. Kaybah_Jenae that is what I plan to do as well. I was wondering if NSC- BSN nursing program requires some type of GPA? I also want to know what is their acceptance process.
  13. Yes!!! I got in the full time program with 36 points! Congrats to all of you. This is just the beginning and I look forward to meeting everyone on November 5th.
  14. mamacruz87 what is your FB page name? We can request you as a friend then we can be added to spring 2015-2016 FB page.
  15. Hey Krause1224 I agree. I think FB has done some changes because it's like impossible to find the two pages that was created for Spring 2015. I think maybe if the group has a completely different FB name from previous csn nursing groups it might be possible for everyone to. Or maybe if "mamacruz87" wants to change the group name and see if that will work. Just a suggestion!!
