CSN RN program 2nd/3rd/4th semester students have taken online classes?

Published

i start in Jan RN program full time. I am considering taking pharm online. I may have to pick up a shift if money gets tight. I wanted to know how is the online Pharm? or if you have taken Foundations online? I am great at studying I just have to get better at time management. Any Suggestions? Is it 8x harder than regular class? i know of course discussion questions and such. But can someone tell me how the notes are for either class? Do the professor's use powerpoint? video? will I get the same quality as in class? it is a 90% must that I take it online just too stay afloat as far as finances. thanks for the insight. I'm freaking out about online classes someone talk me off the ledge!!

I am about to start 2nd semester and I would recommend working as little as possible. I did not have Pharm online but everyone I know that had it online said that the tests were pretty hard, especially the final. I took Fundamentals online and naturally the tests were hard, there is a lot of reading (tests can cover as many as 12 chapters) and you HAVE to actually READ! It would be suicide to rely on the lectures and powerpoints alone. Also, you have to remember that its not just reading, lectures, and tests. You also have papers, assignments, journal entries, careplans and various other projects that can be very time consuming. Do every bit of extra credit available. Besides learning a lot of new material, you have to adopt a new way of thinking, to think like a nurse. Getting in the program is the easy part, getting out is going to be a much greater challenge. Our class stared with about 130 students both full time and part time included. Only 68 are going on to 2nd semester. I got Bs in both fundamentals and pharm but I did not work at all.
