Hi Everyone!
I am new to the site and will be applying to CSN's RN program in March. I wanted to start a thread and see who will be applying with me and how things are coming along for everyone. :) I have all pre-reqs completed with a pre-req GPA of 3.58. I took the TEAS about a month ago and I passed, but wasn't thrilled with my score, particularly in science. I got an adjusted individual total score of 74.7%. Reading: 92.9%, Math 70%, Science 60.4%, and English & Language Usage: 76.7%. I barely passed the science portion and have signed up to take the TEAS one more time in February. With my current TEAS score, I have a total of 29 points for my application. I'm really hoping to get a better score and another point or two from the second TEAS!
Please let me know if you'll be applying in this cycle. I'd love to exchange advice and information and just connect with *hopefully* some future classmates! :)
The supplies are in, they all got sent to the office and I believe you get them at the next orientation. As far as SNA points, if you are active in the SNA and get the points offered, you will get extra credit points for any class with a lab and clinicl (101, 115, 243, 247, 248, 211). it's really easy and super fun! And yes, we will update the FB page with times for meeting and events as well as the angel page. We will be explaining how the point system works as well because everyone gets confused!
Do any current students have any advice on what extra books to purchase outside of the bundle? Also what medical terminology flash cards are the best? I think someone mentioned the best ones to buy at orientation but I can't find my notes about it. Should we buy flashcards for pharmacology as well? I feel like I should at least start on flash cards for medical terminology and pharmacology so if you have any suggestions or used some that worked well for you can you give us some insight please! Thanks!
