I applied today! I applied last semester too, but because of the massive amount of applications, I was denied. Crossing my fingers for FALL!!!! Has anybody else applied?

For anyone concerned with the math. Just buy the book for the toolbox class at the bookstore. It is about $6.00 and you can read through it. It fully explains the questions so you don't have to pay for the class.

If I make it in, I plan on brushing up on math all summer long. We've worked too hard to let a couple math questions sink us in the first semester!

Wow! I can't believe none of us haven't received a call yet. Talk about the last minute. I truly hope it is this week.

Hi guys,
I remember when I was in your position last fall! Now I am finishing my first semester in just a few weeks and today I registered for 2nd semester classes. It will go by so quickly so try to be patient. If you get in, they will call you.
I highly recommend taking the math and care plan toolbox classes if you can. The text itself is fine but the instructor is a very good teacher. Also, the math class teaches you dosage calculations for Med-Surg & Peds too, not just 101. They are only a week long and a couple of hours a day. I found both classes to be very helpful.
Umm...what else...? If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Calls should be going out tomorrow or Thursday. Good luck!

I never took Math 100B. Cupcake, what's the class name and number for the toolbox/care plan? I tried looking it up on the class schedule under math and nursing but didn't find anything.
I think it's nurs285 but you have to be accepted into the nursing program before you are able to enroll in those classes. If you took College Algebra or higher then you should be fine not having taken 100B. I took 100B *and* 124 and 100B did not benefit me, personally. Dosage calcs are simple mathematics and conversions.
Whew! :tku:

Well, it looks like things are finally moving! Can't be happy with the result. We'll see what happens next semester.
