CSM - College of San Mateo - 2019 applicants

Published

Just wanted to see for who has applied to the CSM ADN program. I applied last year for the LVN to RN bridge, but was waitlisted, so I applied for it again this year. Crossing my fingers.

Jay86, I was also at the meeting yesterday as someone on the wait list but received an email this morning that I was accepted into the program! Let's hope 4 more spots open up so you can get in as well! good luck!

Congratulations to everyone and sending all good vibes to those on the waitlist still trying to be in the program! For those who have been accepted, do any of you have ideas of where/when you're getting your CPR cert?

I just saw Skyline College's course offerings under the Emergency Medical Care, but I'm not sure if that's the BLS one they want us to have.

Hi everybody,

I got accepted to CSM nursing and SRJC and can anyone recommend anything

regarding programs strength and weaknesses? I cant decide which program is

better. I would appriciate a lot any feedback. thanks.

Hi Jojo86, did you get into Fall or Spring for SRJC? I would decided based off commute since both seem to be pretty good programs. I was placed on the alternate list for SRJC but just accepted CSM due to a shorter commute, and I think there might be greater learning opportunities in the Peninsula/SF hospitals and maybe better job placement once we are done.

Do we need to send in our fingerprints for the background check to castlebranch?

Thanks Oleenie. I've been checking in with Judith weekly just to see if there are any changes but nothing yet. I feel bad for bugging her but she's been very sweet and helpful. I'm not sure how many people are still on the fence about CSM but I think I'll just go ahead and start working on CastleBranch. I think it's worth spending the money just in case I move up and get accepted.

Do u guys know if we upload our records on castlebranch ourselves or do we turn them all in to the nursing department and they’ll upload them for us? Please help! Much appreciated!

Thanks a lot, for fall. Good luck to you.

Hey there, pretty positive that we upload all of our records to Castle Branch. I don't recall ever hearing that we should bring them to the nursing department.

I think we need to upload our records onto Castle Branch, and bring a record to the Nursing Department as well.

Yeah, this was my understanding as well.
