Just wanted to see for who has applied to the CSM ADN program. I applied last year for the LVN to RN bridge, but was waitlisted, so I applied for it again this year. Crossing my fingers.
Yes, definitely applying to the bridge. SFSU has a great BSN program but around 700 applicants for 60 spots. That’s around an 8% chance but with the CSM bridge you have an 80% chance of getting in. It’s a pretty incredible and inexpensive way to get your BSN. Plus, most hospitals are becoming magnet hospitals so a bachelors is necessary.
Thanks @moto.ri! That’s great to know. That’s one of the reasons I also chose to pursue CSM. Correct me if I’m wrong, but we can only apply for Spring semesters, yes? Wondering if anyone knows if we start applying after this Fall semester or if we apply more towards the end of our 2 years there.
I hope everyone who hasn’t heard yet hears something soon, best of luck to all!
No prob. We will apply for the bridge in Sept. Here’s an excerpt from my email with the CSM nursing counselor, “If admitted into the CSM Nursing program, students apply by the beginning of September for the bridge option and are notified in November whether they are admitted or not.”
Same, good luck everyone!

I also got accepted! But, I have a Pre-planned CNA state exam on the same day. I hope we both figure it out ❤️

No, I haven't responded yet. I'm waiting a bit in case for some reason I change my mind or something falls through with my first choice lol. I'm planning on declining some point next week. If they're going down the waitlist already, my spot still hasn't been grabbed. ?
