I work in a combined cardiac medicine and surgical unit. I passed the CSC in December 2012 and the CMC in Sept 2012. I didn't study for the CSC (and am certainly NOT one of those nursing students who didn't have to study and managed to get 100% on everything). It's what you work with everyday. You should know it or be able to think your way though it (and that that I'm a know-it-all either).

Agreed. After taking it I realized I went a little overboard with the studying but I thought it would be a good review and learned some new info.
You should go for it! I took the Cmc in April! Very tough test but studying for it is a great way to stay sharp!
What did you use to study? And I know they are different tests, but how would you compare the CMC to CCRN? I used the Pass CCRN! CD for practice questions so I guess I kind of have an idea on what the CCRN exam is like.
