Crouse Hospital School of Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to apply in Crouse nursing school. I have no one that I know of to ask questions about that school. I really need help. Those who are already a student at crouse or those who graduated from that school, I would really appreciate if you could share your experience of that school (Good/Bad).

How are the professors in that school and also the classes? And also share ur experience staying in drom.

Thanks!!

Hi :D

I am about to graduate from Crouse on the 27th! I personally liked the school. I thought majority of the instructors were very helpful and willing to answer any question you had. The classes...it's hard work...I'm not going to lie, but you can get through it. Most of your grade is tests and then you have to pass clinical each semester. I enjoyed clinical, the instructors I had expected you to know a lot, but I learned a ton from them! I also lived in the dorm my whole two years here. I liked it. I made some great friends, there is always someone to go ask if you have a question about something, or someone to study with (which is very helpful to bounce ideas off other people). I thought it was a good school and I had some great experiences and learned a ton!

Good Luck where ever you decide to go :D

Hi Amortentia,

Thank you so much for your reply. Congrats for ur success. Any advice to get selected beside GPA? I will be taking chemistry in summer; are we allow transfer nutrition class? coz i might take that class as well if it's transferable. And also since I am planning to stay in dorm i hope I dont need car. Thanks so much for your help :)

I came straight out of high school so I did not transfer anything in, however I am pretty sure that you are able to transfer nutrition. But I would say call the school and talk to Tina Peers about it, she'll answer all your questions. As for the car, you don't need one. There were a few times in the past two years that my clinical was off site, but it was easy to find someone to car pool with if needed. You could always set up an appointment, probably with Tina to talk about the school and what would help you get in.

Good Luck :D

lucky you!!! I feel old :( I will surely call them to find out about it. It's kinda hard for me to meet them in person since I live in NYC queens area and it takes around 5-6hrs to get there by car, and even longer with public transportation. Immense of thanks for ur quick response. I will keep in touch with you if you don't mind. Thanks again:) I will greatly appreciate any advice you hv. Have a good day.

I'm sure they would be willing to talk to you over the phone to help. And I don't mind, let me know if you have any other questions :D

Are most of the student in Crouse Nursing school are straight out from high school?? Coz- i am not :(

So u graduated already? Congrats!!!

I might start from jan if they select me.

I will take any advice from you since I dont know anyone from that school.

Good luck with ur future.

Hey I just saw the other posts. Most definitely not, I was for sure the odd ball out! There were people from all different ages, a lot of people were going back to school for a second career. So do not worry about it! I was the one that felt way to young! LOL Good luck in jan...I hope everything is going well!
