CRNE will become NCLEX by 2015? Philippines

Published

Questions:

1. can i take the exam from here in the phlippines? where?

2. what review center should i enroll to? still CRNE? or US NCLEX review?

( i think their differ in each of it's own focus...)

3. National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) will be the one who will handle the entire

application process? (i can't see any useful info on their website)

Any reply would be so much appreciated... =)

From the fall you have to go through NNAS before applying to the province and they will decide if eligible to sit NCLEX and currently same NCLEX as the US however there are some changes to accommodate the differences in certain areas like certain lab results, glucose monitoring etc. once you have eligibility then you can apply to any pearsonvue center that offers the exam

thanks for answering...

same nclex as US? meaning the exam itself is the same as NCLEX US exam? so if i apply to pearsonvue, they dont let me choose wether to take canada-nclex or US -nclex since its just the same exam?

Not that I am aware of but they will be aware from your AT&T where your application was done ie Canada or the US

Starting Jan 2015, all US and Canadian Nurses will the same NCLEX exam. Yes, you will be able to work in both Countries after writing this one exam. They are working on the questions for the exam so it is applicable to both Countries.

Not entirely true. You need to check with provincial colleges websites. Nobody has seen or heard a definitive answer and some of the questions will be aimed at the Canadian education and healthcare system, lab values, etc.

you will also have to have your educational and clinical work experiences assessed by the provincial colleges as well. There are varying requirements in terms of the number of hours required for safe practice. The best thing is to determine where you want to work and apply for assessment by the college or state board.

Canada doesn't have state boards.

Nursecejay wasn't referring to Canada with 'state boards'. S/he said 'college or state board' since the OP seemed interested in both Canada and the US.
