CRNE Scrapped Short Answer?

So I was reading in one of the other threads that the reason the results for the CRNE have come so quickly is because the short-answer questions were scrapped? Is this true? Does anyone have any more information on this?

I got result today. My result is "pass"!!!

Next exam will be without short answer questions, multiple choice only!

Does this mean that there is going to be a new prep guide, or a supplement to it?

I am going to be in Canada in a couple of weeks, so if there is anything I need to buy in preparation for October when I do the CRNE I could do with some advice.

So i know the october exam is only going to be multiple choice. But i don't see anywhere where it says that the short answers for the june 2007 exam were scrapped. If it is true can someone provide me with more info? Thanx =)

Does anyone know of the plans for the February 2008 exam? Short answers back or still just multiple choice?

The letter in my package stated that the exam marks were based solely on the multiple choice. Short answer questions were not included in the marking. Not sure what they'll do after this October's exam, I'm just happy I don't have to take it again!

I believe the short answer questions will be back in Feb. They are scrapped in Oct due to a security breach (the questions got out somehow) so all that needs to be done is write more questions. I think there is too much money invested in the "new" CRNE to just scrap the short answer after a year...

hi, i've just been a new member. i'm planning on taking the february 2008 exam. do any of you guys know if there is an online review of the CRNE besides the online one found in the CNA website? i would really appreciate you for all your help. Godbless.

None that I know of. I have my copy of the CRNE study guide from the CNA if you're interested in purchasing it.
