Do you recall signing a non-disclosure agreement when you registered to write the exam? That means you cannot discuss specific questions from the exam. From the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador: "The contents of the CRNE are confidential and may not be disclosed or shared with any other persons or exam candidates. The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) has implemented measures and statistical procedures to detect cheating. Any form of cheating is considered unethical behavior." Many of the questions that appeared on the October 5 exam will reappear on subsequent exams, perhaps not verbatim, but substantially unchanged. Therefore, you will be held to the non-disclosure agreement for as long as you are able to recall any of the questions.

sorry

I will research myself, wont discuss with anybody

thanx for reminding.

Congratulations to everyone who succeeded... and to those who will take (or retake) it in February, may God bless you with wisdom and understanding. Your humility and hardwork will soon be rewarded!

I am an IEN in Alberta... when I was preparing for the exam I was unemployed with limited funds so I only did self-review. I borrowed the CRNE Prep Guide (5th ed.), Lippincott, and the Medical-Surgical Nursing Made Easy from the public library and did the CRNE online readiness test. I couldn't afford the review/preparation courses.

On my own, I did a lot of simulated practice tests (200 questions in 4 hours) and even went to the venue one week before the exam date just to see what it's like to get up early and travel to the venue (I had to take the bus).

Indeed, God is good, everything worked out in the end... and I PASSED!

So I finally received my results this evening and managed to pass (Alberta). I say 'managed' because I admit to not giving this exam as much preparation time/study time as I should have!! I only had the Prep guide and went through the questions a few times while working full time as a GN. Several of my Canadian colleagues kept telling me how the CRNE "is much easier than the NCLEX" ...Well, I am here to let you know that it is Different but certainly not easier...it may even be harder in my humble opinion. So if you are a transplant from the U.S like me, don't fall for that...Take the time to review the material, understand Canadian healthcare and know that the emphasis here is more on the psychosocial aspect of healthcare as opposed to Pathophysiology and pharmacology (as with the NCLEX). I think my saving grace was God and maybe to a tiny extent my 4 yrs of experience as a nurse in the U.S...Good luck to all of you who will be doing this in coming months and particularly the IENs. God Bless you all!!

I havent received my results yet (I am outside of Canada). CNO said to give it an additional 2-3 weeks for international mail. One question before this thread closes: are the results sent as priority mail or just a regular one? Thank you.

It will be sent by regular mail unless you paid extra for priority handling, which I'm assuming you did not. I see a Norwegian flag next to your user name... Express post to Norway would cost $54.56 and priority mail is $72.80, where postage within Canada is $0.59 for ordinary letter mail and $1.31 for a large envelope.
