Crne february 5, 2014 takers

Published

Hi guys!

To all of you who took the CRNE last February 5, 2014, do you have any idea how many weeks should we wait for the results?

what could be the passing score? The exam was not an ordinary exam. I mean most of the cases are new (not the common dx of arf, crf, copd,mi etc). Also, the situations are not like for new Rn graduate.. I think you should have experience working in a hospital setting or special units because some of the questions are more of the routines in a hospital..not for nursing knowledge, anyways, good luck to all of us! In God, we trust!

Your family will definitely support you! And you need to believe in yourself! That's the most important thing! Are you an IEN?

What is an IEN?

Internationally educated nurse

No, I live in BC, graduated here. Are you?

Nope! Just graduated in Ontario!

Thank you for your time with your replies. I appreciate it because I felt alone and it's a way to let my feelings out.

No problem! I'm glad to be of help!

Specializes in NICU, PICU, PCVICU and peds oncology.

From shona.A: Thanks Thesearc. If they mailed out results so late so how can a person who fails, apply for the next CRNE exam. The deadline for applying for june 2014 exam is 24 march 2014.

This question is raised EVERY single cycle. Even if you didn't receive your results until Friday you would still have time to register for the June exam online before the deadline. Having said that, all the colleges are willing to register those who were unsuccessful after the deadline has passed. You'll be fine.

From throughsamseyes: One of my friends called the CNO, and they told her it was mailed out last Thursday/Friday. Every one that calls seems to be getting different messages. Ah, I just want my results.

Think about it for a minute. Who answers the phone at the CNO office? Is it the same person every time? Does the person answering the phone know anything about anything, or are they simply the person who answers the phone? For all you know, it could be someone just passing the desk when the phone rings.

From ammuu: so true ...waiting is so frustrating..M sick of checking mails almost everyday...when they gonna give in Ontario ,even I read from facebook ,feb test takers were few .FIngers crossed .wish u oll waiting for results best of luck (sic)

Don't ever make the mistake of considering Facebook to be accurate about anything. A lot of people don't use Facebook, and a lot MORE people do use Facebook but don't report their every move to the world. Ontario has the largest population of all provinces. They will therefore have the highest number of candidates and therefore the highest number of results to review, letters to write and envelopes to mail. No matter what Facebook says.

To Quesnel 09,

Sorry to hear the news. Don't give up. These tests does not define you if you are a good or bad nurse. I know the world may seem so dark right now but have faith. I'll pray for you. I too failed the exam and I am also frim BC. Have u tried talking to CRNBC about your chances to have your exam hand-scored? I am now considering a 1:1 tutor so I wikk be able to pass the exam in June. Good luck in everything and be strong.

So sorry to hear that rn993 and Quesnel :( - are you guys an IEN?I fortunately passed my CRNE on the first attempt. Do not give up. You just have to practice and time yourself every day. for me, it is a personal technique or skills on answering an exam. The more you do it.. as you go along.. you will personally know how to eliminate the wrong ones. Also, prayers and commitment. Do not give up. If nursing is in your heart, then you got to pursue it. All tue best guys. I hope we can all connect here on how to cont. Our process.. such as advices on iv therapy courses..etc.

yes true ,it was difficult nd tricky...

Very sorry to hear about that, but don't give up and don't let negative thoughts overcome you.stay positive your parents will definatly support you.best of luck for your letter to c.n.o and for your 4th attempt.if anything I can help with just let me know.all the people here are ready to help you don't feel alone.

take care
