hELLO there especially to IENs,

I really need a good advice on what to do so that I will have a 100% chance of getting a tourist visa so I can take the exam comes Feb 2010... Should I be putting up a certain amount on my financial account or not anymore?.. I'm stuck with it...

Show good ties that you will be returning home, if you work a letter indicating when you are expected back at work etc. It is a risk on whether you are excepted or not but showing good ties that you plan returning home is probably one of the best things to do

Hi! Ive read your thread...a friend of my told me that its going to be a lot easier to get a visa in Canada if u already have a visa in the US. I have a US visa, so maybe what I did can also help u obtaining a Canadian visa. When I obtained my visa, I was unemployed, single and an RN. The consul told me that the points that they usually check to be able to issue a visa is the three ties: economic, family and country. Economic means you have the money to go to their country. Family means you have strong ties with a family member left here. And country means you have traveled in other countries and still go back to your hometown, its more of your love for your hometown. :)

Hi Nice_earyen! Sorry, I'm not able to send private messages. Family ties are usually seen during the interviews, with the questions being asked. You can go ahead and try, you just need to be confident and honest. That's all they need to see in you. And my friend advised me that if you think the consul is unsure of whether to approve you or not, ask the consul to give you even a single-entry visa and promise to see him/her personally once you get back from Canada/US, just so they know that you're really coming back. Good luck! :)

The February CRNE was written on the 3rd so it's too late to help the OP, but perhaps this advice will help others later.
