Published

Hi, I am just writing to wish you all luck. I could hardly forget the time I took the exam and my aftermath feeling. It was almost last year but now that much stress and hard work paid off. Wish you all Feb exam taker Luck. Just try to relax and wait for the result.

It is hard to relax but no other choice it is done you can not change it but atleast you can enjoy your time which you could never return it back. I looked like my mom with this much saying...........:heartbeat:typing:cool::sofahider

so does all the ppl who pass get a bin envelope ( like a paper size) and the ppl who fail get a small one? some body plz let me knwo, so i know what to expect when i receive mine.

Thanks.

I assume that this is because of the enclosed A4 sized CRNE Completion Certificate which cannot be folded to fit inside a regular business envelope.

Oh I see. Thanks a lot for sharing that information, lilmisswongy.

everybody gets an A4 sized- envelope, be it pass or fail. i noticed though, that if you pass, the envelope is kinda lighter in weight, because there's only 2-4 pages of paper inside it, whereas, if you fail there's a bunch of paper works to do, so you'll get a "thicker" envelope. :) that's why when i got my results, i had to kinda weigh it. haha. i just got the confirmation letter and the certificate so that makes just 2 pages altogether. :)

Hi Guys,

Igot my result today and I DIDN'T PASS:down::crying2:. I called already the crnbc and i'm going to take this June and the application must be submitted by april 2.

I hope that I will pass the 2nd attempt!!!!!

oh, i'm sorry to hear that, ayel. just try your luck again next time. at least you've got a first-hand experience of what's the test like and you'll be more comfortable answering it the second time around. be well prepared and study hard! *but don't over-study. :)*

Congratulations to all those who pass...God is great!!!!!!!!!!

I am still waiting for mine

Ayel,

I am so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how you are feeling, but I'll share with you something my mom, also a nurse, has often shared with me when I am down, especially when I was studying in nursing school..."It gets worst before it gets better." This may not be comforting right now, but when you are on the floor as an RN, you'll get it! Hold on, yours is coming! Delayed, not denied (don't know who said that but I believe this for you.) Stay strong. Study hard.

:bluecry1:Nothing today either :banghead:... any one else in Windsor waiting for their results? :(.. This is pure torture...:scrying::banghead::bluecry1:

As has been stated many times before, the pass mark doesn't matter. You aren't told what your mark was, only whether you've passed or failed. The first link will take you to a bulletin explaining how the CRNE is scored. The second link refers to obtaining your result.

I think the reason that the person may want to know the pass score for the exam is because it can help to gauge the difficulty of the exam that we wrote in comparison to past exams. Ie/ in the past the pass score has been 146; if the pass score for this exam was say 162 it may indicate that the exam we wrote was easier than past exams and the marks have been "bell curved" to reflect this

Since the questions are formatted for the skills and knowledge base of the beginning nurse and all exams are weighted in such a way that a pass is a pass, the mark doesn't matter. It's meaningless and knowing the number isn't going to give any indication of a individual's strengths ore weaknesses. If you've read the bulletins and understand how the questions are scored, you will know that a person who gets a 1 or a 2 (partial marks) on the majority of the questions is going to pass, but there is absolutely NO way to know which questions a person got correct and which they didn't. It might matter if there was an opportunity to review the exam, but there isn't so the actual mark is meaningless.
