Hey everyone, I have started a thread for the 2021 CRNA cohort at the University of Miami. I could not seem to find one for this application cycle.

I have just applied and am hoping I get an interview.

Hey guys! What do you think if I make a facebook group so we can keep in touch before starting? Congratulations again to everyone!?

I think the fb page would be great

I got in too! CONGRATS everybody and for the ones on the waiting list I hope I see you in the program. A fb group is a great idea.

Would be totally game for a Fb group. Just let us know what the group name is!

I got in as well . CONGRATS to everyone and to those that didn’t . Please don’t give up !

I have a question. For those who got in, was this your first time trying. Also if this was your second time, did you have to retake some classes or take any graduate level science classes to make you better candidate.

It was first time for me.

Yeah, I would love to know some of the stats of those who got in! It will really help those of us who didn’t get in so we can compare and make ourselves better

I also got accepted. This was my first time applying to UofM, but my second year applying to CRNA schools. My stats overall included: 3.69 overall undergraduate GPA, 3.96 nursing specific courses GPA, undergraduate research experience, charge nurse experience, code blue team instructor experience, and CCRN and TNCC certified. My work experience includes working as a Medical/ Surgical ICU nurse and a Pediatric PACU nurse.

What I feel helped me the most to get in was that I nailed the interview. I felt like my interview went really well. When I had talked to other CRNAs, they said the most important thing you could do to get in is nail the interview.

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I got many rejection letters in three years of applying, don't get deterred you will get in. You may need to apply to more schools and further away, but don't give up

Thanks! I’m also applying to FIU, Barry and FGCU. I have confidence that I’ll get into one of those schools.
