CRNA University of Miami starting 2021

Published

Hey everyone, I have started a thread for the 2021 CRNA cohort at the University of Miami. I could not seem to find one for this application cycle.

I have just applied and am hoping I get an interview.

I’m going to email them on May 1st, because some schools haven’t already sent out there acceptance letters... This has my anxiety at an all-time high.. Good luck to everybody.

The month of May seems ideal to hear from the decision committee, considering that some states are gradually reopening. The wait is long .. sometimes I forget that I actually interviewed with Miami, LOL

@Toocute ccrn @jjrn1989 totally relatable! The last I heard was I reached out 4/7 and they said they’re working diligently to get everything done and then I asked if there was a timeframe and they said it was hard to say ? seriously stressing big time

Can anyone who has interview thus far share some advice/insight? I hear it is very clinically based on patho/pharm. Is this true? Drugs down to the receptor level?

Wait a minute, they are still having zoom interviews?

Yes, I have one Friday!

Hey, If you don’t mind, ask the people who interview you when they’ll send admissions letters out and then let’s us know please.

Yea, please let us know what they say about admission letters.

Specializes in Cardiac ICU.

Hoping we can all get some answers soon so we know next steps either way!! They sent me an email about a month ago saying my application was “put on hold” and still “in the review pipeline.” I followed up last week via email and didn’t really get an answer just they would update when they had new information. Good luck with interviews!!

What insight do you have for me?

Be confident. Show them who you are. If you believe you have what it takes to become CRNA you have to articulate it well. They will ask you personal and clinical questions. Go to Youtube, search for CRNA interview, you will find great advices from nurse Nelle, Rihanna, Patrick, Iasha, and Bolt. They have reallly great insight. I cannot tell you specifics of the interview, but I can advice you to just prepare, it can boost your confidence if you are prepared. Good luck!
If anyone receive decision letter, please post it here so we can track who’s in, and connect. We have to work together to succeed. This will be a very challenging journey. There is strength in numbers. Thanks!

I totally agree! The interview process is unique to each applicant.
