CRNA University of Miami starting January 2019

Published

Hello everyone,

I have started the application process for the BSN to DNP Anesthesia Track program at University of Miami that will start January 2019. It would be nice to know who else is applying to compare information, help one another, and start getting to know our classmates. Feel free to comment! :)

Hello Lena, do you get the answer?

It means you have been wait listed. You were not admitted and depending how the rest of the interviews go they will reconsider you.

I recieved my admission letter about a week ago. I was part of the first rounds of interviews. I was super excited.

Hey RNMan,

That is awesome!!! Congrats man! Any tips?

Go into the interview prepared. Know what you want to say before hand. Your going to be asked general questions like why do you want to be a CRNA and questioned on classes you did poorly in. Just be sure to have your thoughts prepared so that your nerves dont get the best of you.

Thank you!! They didn't ask any clinical questions?

They did. Just basic questions on hemodynamics and MOAs of a drug of your choice. Most questions are designed to lead you down a rabbit hole. so just come prepared.

Thank you so much! I appreciate all the info and advice! Hopefully we will start school together!

thanks for explanation

could everyone share their stats with us that have gotten interviews? I am so anxious nobody has called me. My stats are: GPA:3.92 and will have about 2 years of ICU experience by the time the program begins. My letter of recommendation are in my opinion okay one coming from a CRNA that i shadowed. My application was verified end of february.

Hey what do you mean by that?

I'm doing my interview next Tuesday! I'd appreciate any tips you may have!

Hello,

I have a 3.66 gpa, my LOR were pretty good. I had 4 just in case. I have 8 years of Icu experience and have my CCRN and CMC certifications. They look at a lot of things, don't worry if meet the requirements I'm sure you will get an interview. Hang in there! Good Luck!

Hey guys, just trying to catch up on this discussion board. I sent in my application week before last. Looks like people are already interviewing...? How long did it take to hear? I'm in Texas, 8 yrs ICU, 303 GRE, CCRN, 3.5ish GPA (haven't actually calculated all the random classes I've taken!).
