Nursing Students SRNA

Hello everyone! Recently applied to FIU's program, and just wanted to know if anyone out there (there has to be) has also sent in there application. Want to get a feel for my possible future Classmates and general information.

ANyone ever hear of acceptance while on the alternate list??? Because I have not.

I have no idea.

Barry will begin calling for interviews June/July according to their office. My application is ready for review according to them

Anybody receive denial letters out of curiosity?

Yes, actually. One of the senior students that was present at the time of my interview told me she was on the alternate list and was notified in December of 2015 that she was being granted a spot in the class starting the next month in January of 2016.

Aside from cost, what makes FIU your first choice? I've heard so many people list FIU as their top program.

FIU is my first choice for the following reasons:

Cost

Schedule layout

Proximity of clinical sites to my residence

No need for recent statistics/chemistry

Thanks, Shushy. How is the schedule different from Barry or UM?

Don't lose hope. Barry will be contacting prospects in the next few weeks to set up interviews for July.

Word of mouth rumors from Barry Uni students is clinical schedules vary and sometimes clash with lectures. (Long clinical days followed by lecture, exam dates, etc). Fiu seems so organized with their schedule and the first 2 semesters are online, allowing students to sneak some work shifts.

I still have not heard anything from fiu. Is there anyone else?

I was told that another set of emails are going out again Tmr morning

Hopefully good emails.

Cost for sure, but I have expierience from several

former colleagues that have gone through FIU's program. There opinion carried alot of weight for me. They ALL felt highly clinically prepared when they graduated. That's huge for me. FIU also offers many extras for their students; conferences and review courses that help prepare you from the certification exam. Of course not requiring recent Stats and Chem course certainly helps!
