Hello everyone! Recently applied to FIU's program, and just wanted to know if anyone out there (there has to be) has also sent in there application. Want to get a feel for my possible future Classmates and general information.
Miramar, hialeah, hialeah (33015) área had great rental opportunities, Miami Gardens/Miramar border (33055) has great rental prices, miami lakes. Kendall can be a close option but there tends to be a lot of traffic congestion in this area. And to be clear, traffic thrives in south florida pretty much anywhere you go. Lol.
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I appreciate the help!
Miami lakes is a great area, very central to everything, whether it's the clinical sites up north like memorial, or the ones down south, it's close to all the major highways needed to get there. It's not right next to campus, but you can get there in 20 min if you beat traffic. Also not very expensive to rent, and very family oriented (low crime). I live here now and it's great. Definitely stay from everywhere rnman18 suggested.
Thank you for your suggestions as well. This information is very valuable. I would definitely prefer to live somewhere safe and central to as many clinical sites/campus as possible. Are you currently in the program?
I received my acceptance letter! After being waitlisted! What next? I already accepted my seat and confirmation. Having a hard time getting the coordinator on the phone. No deposit?
Congrats! Yes, please join the Facebook group. Nothing overly exciting is happening there yet but as IcuKelz said it's just a waiting game.
No one has put a deposit down. We all just confirmed our spots and now we wait!
