Hi,

I'm not a male but I was curious on how your studies are going at Creighton. Hopefully, I will be starting the ACC program in Jan 2011 and needed someone's insight. If you don't mind please share your experience so far.

I have many questions:

Rigors of the course load?

Financial aid/planning?

How much study time is needed?

To work or not to work?

I was just accepted to Jan 2011 start date ( but hoping for August 2010 if possible )

how are you feeling about the program? I have heard that its a great school and would love to hear any other information before making my final decision within the next month..

I am guessing you are from phoenix, az ? I am going there next weekend to visit my boyfriend, fun place !

I have yet to submit my full package to Creighton. If you don't mind, can you PM me so we can discuss what you submitted. I was filling the app and got stuck on ther personal statement. I should be finishing all that up within the next 2 weeks or so. I'd love to discuss how quick they went through your app and package.

I Just applied for January 2011....here's to hoping I get in!! I ws just wondering how quickly you heard you were accepted after submitting the application. Im really hoping the rolling admissions will help me have a better chance of getting in. Can anyone give me any tips on what to expect? Also, would LOVE suggestions on what areas to live in.,...im coming from CA and have never been to Omaha =)

Hi Lauren,

well I heard back fairly quickly but I applied back in February for the August 2010 but that was filled and was put into jan 11.... hopefully for you the Jan 11 cohort is not filled already !! I would suggest waiting at least 2 weeks and then to start emailing the advisor.. she is very prompt about replying. I am also from California, near SF and debating my pros and cons forever before turning down Creighton to go to nursing school that starts next week in Arizona which is about 15 thousand dollars cheaper. I have heard great things about Creighton.... good luck !!

Thanks for the great info Katsie! :) i'm from Sacramento (yay nor-cal!). I email the recruiter at creighton right before I applied and she said there were still spots for january, so hopefully one will have my name on it =) which nursing school did you decide on in Az? I've looked at northern arizona state, but wasn't sure about my chances getting in....good luck at your new school!

Hi lauren,

well good I am glad there is still a spot!! Im actually starting at northern arizona university on monday ! I think if you are competitive for Creighton that you have a great shot at NAU as well but of course it starts in may11 and creighton is jan 11. so that is something to consider as well. goodluck on your decision and let me know if you have any other questions about nau.
