Creighton ABSN FAll 2019

Published

Hello!!! I haven't seen a post yet for this cohort, so thought I'd post to see if anyone else out there has applied. I guess the typical questions that I've seen here: what are your stats (GPA), experience, campus preference, etc. Good luck to all applying!

I haven't found any other posts for this cohort yet either! I was just accepted into the program this morning. I had a 3.63 undergrad gpa, have been working as a CNA for the past 6 months, and selected Omaha as my campus. Hope this helps and hope to hear from others soon!

I received my acceptance letter for the Phoenix campus yesterday morning through email. My gpa was a 3.7 and cumulative was a 3.3. I have worked as a cna for a few years in various hospitals. My most current employer is Kaiser Permanente. For those who have been accepted, I can’t wait to meet you all! Good luck to everyone else who hasn’t heard anything yet- don’t lose hope I’m sure you’ll hear good news soon ❤️

I got in the Omaha campus 2 days ago! My undergraduate GPA is 3.70 and I am a current undergrad student here at Creighton, majoring in French and minoring in Biology, honors student. I am both a CNA and an EMT (got certified through Creighton) and volunteered at Nebraska Med Emergency Room for about a year. I am so so excited to start nursing school and can't wait to meet you all!

I also was accepted to the Omaha campus! My undergrad GPA was around a 3.4 and grad school GPA was around 3.7. I am a certified athletic trainer and have been working in a hospital for the past 4 years.

I can make a Facebook group too if anyone would be interested in joining?

Yes please! There is also a Facebook page made by Becca Butcher called "Creighton ANC Omaha Fall 2019" and you can find the link to it on your student portal.

I applied to the Phoenix campus. I had trouble getting a transcript, so my app has been submitted for the 5/1 deadline. My undergrad is 3.45 and my pre-reqs are 4.0. I worked with special needs adults for 11 years, overseeing all of their medical care - that is pretty much the extent of my experience in healthcare.

Congrats to all who got in, and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!

I could be interested!! Message me!

I’m starting to plan for the financial part of the program, and I still have a lot of debt from my first bachelors degree. For those who completed the program, were you able to get the tuition covered with gov loans or did you have to pull out personal loans? Not really sure how it works for a second degree.

Hi All - i posted in another thread but i thought i would hop on here! I am a current ABSN student at the Phoenix Creighton campus. I would be happy to answer some questions about the program and for places to live.

@Ambya22 Most people had to take additional loans out to cover costs as there is generally a cap on federal funding. Also since we go straight through summer term is lumped in with fall federal loans so there is some additional costs to make up - the school does assist with finding "personal" school loans though.

Congrats to you all who got accepted!

Hi, I received my acceptance to the Phoenix campus for Fall 2019. I will be moving from California and I'm currently looking for places to live. Any recommendations on places to live or is anyone looking for a roommate? I'm open to just meeting other students in the same cohort!
