  1. @jessicaa123 I am a current ABSN student in Phoenix - and I currently live at the Thomas at midtown (formerly Alta midtown) it’s two blocks from school and I walk everyday! Once you are added to the Facebook group by Becca you will find my contact info, feel free to reach out further!
  2. Yes you will be in class the other days.
  3. @Kelina you won’t start clinical until after the first 8 weeks. But I would plan at that time to be in class or clinical from 8am-4pm some clinical you are there from 6am-4pm and others 7am-7pm... it really depends. You maybe have the weekends off or you may have clinical on Saturday then only get Wednesday and Sunday off - it’s really hard to give you specifics like that because they are constantly changing what clinical rotations will look like for the next group.
  4. Hi All - i posted in another thread but i thought i would hop on here! I am a current ABSN student at the Phoenix Creighton campus. I would be happy to answer some questions about the program and for places to live. @Ambya22 Most people had to take additional loans out to cover costs as there is generally a cap on federal funding. Also since we go straight through summer term is lumped in with fall federal loans so there is some additional costs to make up - the school does assist with finding "personal" school loans though. Congrats to you all who got accepted!
  5. @Kelina It's hard to say if they will change things or not, but this program really is a full time job. The first 8 weeks were very intense. Mondays were reserved for exams, Tuesdays we had class from 9am-12ish, Wednesdays from 9-3, Thursdays from 1-4, and Fridays from 8-4. Even though that sounds like a lot of time off it truly is essential to study and get all assignments completed, no one in our program works a job.
  6. Hello all! congrats on acceptance to the program - I am currently in the ABSN program in phoenix and would be happy to answer some questions in my free time with info about what to expect and on good places to live!
  7. Yikes.. those are some strong words! I'd definitelt be interested to hear what you have to say, as I am currently scheduled to start in spring. Could you email me? [email protected] (this is an old email address but I still check it, just didn't wanna post my first and last name email on the forum) lol!
  8. So sorry to hear that!! My overall undergrad gpa was a 3.7 with all A's and Bs for pre reqs! Is it possible you got a denial because the cohort was full? I applied to many schools local to me and didn't get in, but Creighton accepted me. I feel as if I had strong references and a through personal statement. I would reach out to any or Becca to ask why you weren't accepted, maybe they can give you more insight. Good Luck!!
  9. As far as I know most everyone on this thread is for PHX - I've applied for financial aid but last time I checked they were still processing fall.
  10. Feel free to email me :) see above! I'd love to get to know you!
