Creighton ABSN Fall 2020 (Phoenix)

Hi guys! I'm new to this site and just wanted to start a thread for those applying to Creighton's Fall 2020 program! I put Phoenix as my priority. I have been accepted to Baldwin Wallace's program and am also waiting to hear back from Concordia University Irvine. I am having a really hard time deciding which program would be best, but I guess I should wait and see where else I get in first!

If anyone is in the program now or has graduated from it I would love to hear your feedback!

Hi there!
I got my acceptance into Baldwin Wallace this week and I am also waiting to hear back from Creighton! I applied for Phoenix too but I’m also struggling on what program is better. I’ve only heard good things from Creighton but don’t know too much about BW. Everyone I’ve been in contact with at both schools have been so helpful and seem very organized. It's also tough because the deposit for BW is really big and due on April 15 so we won’t have heard back from Creighton yet. This will be a tough decision if we end up getting into both! Is there anything swaying you one way or the other? Also do you by chance know how many students are in the BW Program? I forgot to ask in my interview

Hey! Congrats on getting into BW! I feel pretty set on BW this point. It’s $10,000 cheaper than Creighton and all the books, uniforms, and supplies are included in tuition. I flew out to Ohio for my interview to get a feel for the school and everyone was so nice. It felt like a big family and that they would really be supportive and helpful, just really good vibes. I also like that they follow the same schedule as the school, so there’s thanksgiving break, Christmas break, and a 6 week Summer break. Not having any big breaks for Creighton stresses me out a little. I’ve also heard some negative things about Creighton‘s Phoenix campus on this site saying it’s disorganized. It also follows Nebraska time and you have to email the people in Nebraska for help if you need it. I think BW said there’s around 35 students in each cohort. That’s just what I’m feeling at the moment but I’ll be in Arizona in a few weeks for Spring break and I’m going to take a tour of Creighton’s campus and meet some people ?

I’m so glad to hear that you had such a good experience there! I’m also having a hard time justifying Creighton’s tuition because it’s so much higher than most of the schools I’ve looked at. Would you mind letting me know how you feel after you visit Creighton though? Unfortunately, I’m short staffed at work and it’s too hard for me to take time off to go visit these schools.

I think it might be more expensive because it’s 12 months but that’s the only thing I can think of. At first I was only looking at 12 month programs but in the end I think I would be more successful if I had some breaks and 3 more months isn’t going to make much of a difference in the long run. I’ll definitely let you know how the tour goes and what my thoughts are after that! I’m visiting March 16th ?

Oh that’s so soon! Thank you! It’s nice to hear other people’s perspectives rather than just what you read online!

Hello!

I got my acceptance to Creighton's ABSN program in Phoenix starting in Fall 2020 and am super excited to start. Has anybody else heard back?

CONGRATS to you to @FutureNurse13! Excited to get to know and meet everyone! Just so you know, the Nursing Program started a facebook group for our cohort. They told me that they will be emailing a link out to everyone around June 6th!

That is good to know that there will be a facebook group! I am also starting this fall 2020!
